Beyonce went shopping in London on Wednesday. Now, before you say "whatever, everyone shops—this isn't news" let us explain: There's shopping, and then there's shopping. The former is the one mere mortals do where they pinch pennies and window shop. The latter is the stuff of lore where the fabulously wealthy blow more money than most people see in a year...in less time than it takes you to get lunch.
On this particular shopping spree, Beyonce and her mom whipped through Topshop and Selfridges at a frenzied pace and racked up a $14,000 bill in 90 minutes. That's approximately $155 per minute. Topshop is where they spent most of their money with trendy fast fashion pieces that totaled over $8,300. Beyonce apparently didn't even bother trying things on and just grabbed things left and right.
The mother-daughter duo then headed to higher priced Selfridges and topped off their spree with a selection of designer shoes, also not tried on. Normal shoppers in the stores commented, "It was like that shopping scene out of Pretty Woman. Everyone was gobsmacked at the speed she was choosing clothes."
