Sequined, Suited and Booted was the theme last night as some of our favorite celebs and hip hop artists hit up the Harman Center of the Arts in Washington DC for the Hip Hop Inaugural Ball II (The first ever was held in 2009 when President Obama was sworn in.)
The event, hosted by Lala Anthony and Terrence J, honored Hip Hop icons like Doug E. Fresh and MC Lyte (Lifetime Achievement Award) and John Legend (Humanitarian Award). 2 Chainz was also honored last night with the Street Soldier Award for encouraging young voters to get out and vote as a spokesperson for the Hip-Hop Caucus’ “Respect My Vote!” campaign. The event was star studded with guests that included Angela Simmons, Rosario Dawson, Elle Varner, Chanel Iman, Lance Gross, Swizz Beatz, Meek Mill, Tyson Beckford, WEEN’s Valiesha Butterfield-Jones, Marsha Ambrosius and more.
