Oh Hey, Look Who's Blonde Again—It's Rihanna! + New Balmain Blouse

The length and Skrillex-y shaved side still seem to be in tact, but the hue is certainly much lighter than the caramel color (not to mention ultra-dark roots) she was snapped with last week (see below).

The real hair shocker she gave fans, though, was first spotted by E! News—a platinum blunt-banged bob, which presumably was a wig from one of the two photoshoots (told you, busy) she had yesterday.

One shoot was for River Island and the other for her partnership with MAC, in case you're dying to know. We're sure Instagram photos—possibly another hair surprise?—will follow soon. Any minute now...

In other Rih Rih news...

She was spotted heading to Da Silvano, one of her favorite eateries in NYC. She stopped for a few moments to take pictures with fans and even confirmed the next single from her latest album, Unapologetic. Fans will be happy to know that “Pour It Up” is the third song receiving the video treatment from Unapologetic. Interestingly enough, the song has already sold over 1 million units in the US, so I’m sure the song receiving the official video treatment will only aid in its success.

Balmain Spring/Summer 2013 - [VIDEO]

Balmain S/S 2013
OMFG!

You guys know how much I love Balmain, and what they showed this year was nothing short of blissful!

The inspiration: 1990s Latin cool; Miami street rappers.
The look: Cropped jackets with big shoulders, midriff-baring tops and full cut, peg leg pants. Salsa skirts, minidresses, long jackets and leggings made from an exquisite combination of basket weave raffia and crystals. Vibrant black-and-white or yellow-and-black diamond prints. Black leather and denim.

Make sure you guys peep every look at the show from American Vogue's Youtube Channel.

And might I add that Balmain's 27-year-old creative director Olivier Rousteing is so CUTE!!

Hottest Looks from Milan & Paris Fashion Week S/S Collections!

Ann Demeulemeester
Wow! According to Ann Demeulemeester, it's going to be a grim Spring! Yikes! She's present a line full of black and and funeral tones; perfect for Wednesday Adams! I must say, I do like the execution of the clothing even though this is more of a Fall 2013 look.

Balenciaga
Balenciaga, in true Balenciaga fashion, showed prints and texture for spring! The almost monotone color palette left me wanting to see some of these pieces in spring hues. However the prints are funky and innovative, and will me hold me over until Balenciaga's Fall showing.

Balmain
A Fashion House that can virtually do NO WRONG in my eyes, Balmain has shown yet another STUNNING collection! The simple stripes, fused with this yellow jacket'esqu color segue and paired with supreme tailoring is what keeps Balmain at the forefront of Fashion!!

Cรฉline
Ok. I see the vision for what Cรฉline was going for, but I feel it was poorly executed! I dont know if I'm lost in this satin jungle or confused and dismayed from the house shoes these models are sliding down the runway in. Either way, I still gag for a Cรฉline bag, but cant get with these fashions.

Givenchy
I think this collection is for the mature woman headed to a gala of some sort. I'll even go so far as to say, I can see Anna Wintour in some of the pieces from Givenchy's 2013 Spring/Summer collection. I'm starting to pick up on this dark spring trend that European designers are predicting!

Lanvin
Lanvin always creates clothing for todays "It Girl". I can see Kim K., Rihanna, Katy Perry and a few others from everyone's "Fave Girl" list, dawning these pieces for 2013. The hues and construction of each piece saves Lanvin from failing every season!

Maison Martin Margiela
Yet another "Dark Spring" designer, Maison Martin Margiela has shown why his clothing is for an exclusive clientele. However, aside from the maternity dresses, I actually enjoy some of the pieces from the 2013 showing. Also the shoes were simply elegant!

Martine Sitbon
I don't LOVE this, but I don't completely hate it either. I think its for Young Hollywood's, shock-and-awe celebutant! I think the only thing hindering me from LOVING this showing are some of the textures of the pieces; it looks like plastic. Yikes!

Rick Owens
Rick Owens always fuses fashion, with fantasy and out of those he's boar his collection for Spring/Summer 2013. The predominantly lightly hued showing left me feeling a little, blah. It didn't evoke any emotion from me; just another runway show.

Roland Mouret
Finally, Pops of Color! This total orange suit (pictured left) is exactly what I wanted to see for spring 2013 from a lot of other designers. Hues that make fashion fun, and edgy! Also, Mouret is giving us structured pieces that are still able to give feminine silhouettes! I love!

Style Survey :: Ciara In Balmain

Ciara walked the 2012 MTV Movie Awards red carpet in this chic red Balmain mini-dress and with heels. I don't know if it's her hair color, which is way to bleached for her skin tone; or if its her bare legs with no tan and/or airbrushing to even tone her look, but something is a little off.

I'm not able to pin-point it directly. How do you love it? Peep more pics below.

Kim Kardashian Hits The Red Carpet Of ‘Cruel Summer’ In Balmain With Kanye West

Kanye and Kim Kardashian have some weird chemistry when it’s actually time to pose for pics together.

The made-for-the-paparazzi couple hit up the red carpet together for the first time earlier today for the screening of ‘Cruel Summer’, a short film written, produced and directed by Kanye. The film premiered at Cannes as a ’7 screen experience’, described as ‘a fusion of short film and art installation’, and features a few of Kanye’s good friends like comedian Aziz Ansari and Kid Cudi as well as Lebanese actress Razane Jammal and Palestinian actor Ali Suliman.

Kim stepped out in a Balmain dress from the 2012 Resort collection paired with black Guiseppe Zanotti for Balmain boots while Kanye opted for a cream colored suit jacket, jeans and loafers.

Look of the Day: Zoe Saldana's Embroidered Mini

GettyImages
The Oscars left us up to our necks in evening dresses (no complaints, just saying...) but let's take a break from Grecian gowns and mermaid trains to appreciate Zoe Saldana's mini she wore to the Independent Spirit Awards.

We love how she wears this embroidered design from Balmain, a label that never shies away from heavy embellishment. And style points have duly been awarded for wisely ditching the black boots and chunky accessories from the original runway look.

While Kate Beckinsale's Diane Von Furstenberg jumpsuit made fierce style competition for the occasion, it's not easy to top Zoe's never-ending legs.

KW by Kanye West: Paris FW Debut

So I realize I'm late with this, but here it is... I actually LOVE the Collection, but I might be bias, since I'm a fan..

Kanye West's clothing line was arguably the most anticipated collection of the season. Kanye's love (obsession) with the fashion industry is no kept secret, for months rumors had been circulating over the rapper's entry into high-end fashion.

At last the KW collection was launched in Paris to a fashion savvy audience of celebrities and critics alike, from Anna dello Russo and Carine Roitfeld to Lindsay Lohan and the Olsen twins. There's no question, Kanye knows how to make a grand spectacle. This leads us to the good side of the KW show: the presentation was undeniably immaculate, as to be expected from the musical mastermind. The clothes, however, were lacking the same brilliance. "Heavy might be the operative word," Style.com's Tim Blanks reported, siting the collection as "a baby Balmain vision of womenswear." Those were the kinder of reports on the line.

In her review titled Good Thing Kanye West Has a Day Job, Christina Brinkley of the Wall Street Journal referenced Lindsay Lohan's notoriously disastrous collaboration with Emanuel Ungaro, "Mr. West didn’t receive the standing ovation he seemed to be expecting when he took a bow from the runway." The journalist went on to describe the KW collection (rife with furry backpacks, vulgarly plunging necklines and sloppy bandage dresses) as "Herve Leger meets Donald Trump."

Kanye, however, is not the type to be easily discouraged. We have a feeling he's now prepping for Paris, Fall 2012.

Balmain to Release New Lower-Priced Line, ‘Pierre Balmain’

You are looking at the first images of Pierre Balmain, a new line by Balmain created in a deal with Ittiere SpA, which also licenses lines like Just Cavalli. So instead of new Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing overseeing design, an "independent design team" is working on it. The difference between Pierre Balmain and Balmain, aside from the addition of a first name, is mainly price. "We see Pierre Balmain as a new and unique brand whose distinctive look and product respond to the needs and desires of today’s marketplace," Balmain’s chairman and CEO Alain Hivelin says in a press release. In the rough economic climate, those needs and desires are, probably, not for more flag jackets with $20,000 price tags, or for more tees with holes in them with $1,600 tags. Pierre Balmain launches for the spring 2012 season with tees starting at €120 ($174), jeans at €250 ($363), jackets at €350 ($508), and suits at €650 ($944). And in the burgeoning tradition of fashion brands finding fun new ways to use the Internet when they start doing fun new things, Pierre Balmain will promote itself with short, online video clips, rather than an ad campaign.

Look of the Day: Zoe Saldana x Balmain

Usually, the red carpet is filled with dresses, skirts and more dresses. But sometimes a celeb dares to stray from the norm and make a statement in something a little different from the norm. At the Captain America: The First Avenger premiere, Zoe Saldana showed why she's one of our fave rising style stars in a shorts suit by Balmain.

The look, from the brand's resort collection, was sassy with a bold blue-and-white ikat print. Rather than a blazer, a tailored bomber jacket accented with studs was paired with matching shorts, cut to look like vintage running shorts. Zoe wore a plain v-neck tee underneath. As a complement to her already stylish ensemble, Zoe picked an unexpected pair of Brian Atwood Pois pumps in green perforated leather with stud accents. A loose side bun and clutch finished off the look.

Balmain Fires Designer Christophe Decarnin

And another one bites the dust. If you noticed Balmain head designer Christophe Decarnin's absence at the recent fall 2011 show, you weren't alone. Decarnin was rumored to have been at a mental institute and out of communication with the brand's CEO. Now, he's officially been let go from Balmain.

Cathy Horyn writes that Decarnin may have been suffering from the same pressures that caused Galliano to snap. She says:
Balmain’s success in the Decarnin years was based on a relatively simple formula of impeccably tailored jackets, tough pants, T-shirts and sexy beaded dresses — all for staggering sums — and Mr. Decarnin may have felt stuck in recent months about his direction. Designers are indeed under a lot of pressure, some of it self-imposed, to create relevant collections. Shy and introverted, with a label that had its admirers and critics, Mr. Decarnin may have been more vulnerable than others to that pressure.
Decarnin currently doesn't have a successor, but insiders say it's likely to come from within the Balmain ranks.

"Yeezy Taught Me" What Kanye Wore x Balmain

Kanye West lit up the NBA All-Star game halftime show with a surprise performance of his single “All Of The Lights” dressed in Balmain from head-to-toe. He was wearing a red Balmain sleeveless zip up hoodie, layered over a red Balmain distressed B-tiger logo t-shirt (seen below in black), Balmain leather belt, red Balmain stretch biker jeans (seen below in silver), and a pair of Air Jordan retro 6 infrared sneakers. Ye’ is definitely on his Balmain steeze right now, do you like his look?

- UpscaleHype

After his halftime performance Kanye West was seen courtside wearing a Balmain Teddy leather jacket (approx. $4,978) from the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection and an Actual Pain Pyramid Logo snap back cap ($29). This varsity-style jacket features silver sleeves with zipper detailing, snap button closure, and slit pockets with a badge logo embroidered on the chest.

Also it appears that Kanye is wearing a Balmain Zebra print t-shirt from the Fall 2009 Collection underneath the jacket. What do you think of his look?

WERK!! Yeezy!!

Balmain :: Fall 2011 - Men's Wear

Christophe Decarnin likes to say Balmain Homme isn't a collection; it's a wardrobe. That's a useful way to think about its offering, which reprises successes season after season, as well as adding some new tricks to the bag along the way. Check out our favorite looks from the collection after the jump.
