Honorable Mentions for OSCARS Red Carpet

Who looked her best while thanking the Academy? And who was the big winner on the red carpet? We've got the scoop on the best looks of the 2011 Academy Awards—see who won big with fashion fans!

It's too bad Mila Kunis looked so bored on the red carpet, because her soft lavender Elie Saab gown was actually quite pretty. The plunging neckline must have turned plenty of heads, as did the semi-sheer skirt. Delicate diamond earrings, a diamond bangle and a soft updo completed her look.

Michelle Williams' understated Chanel gown was just what we'd expected from the Blue Valentine star, who tends to favor feminine frocks with a delicate touch. Impeccable makeup and eye-catching diamond earrings added the Hollywood touch to Michelle's look.

There was a new redhead in L'Wren at the Oscars—The Fighter's Amy Adams, whose midnight blue sequined gown looked radiant against her creamy complexion. Bright green jewels, including a necklace worn atop the dress, added an extra dimension to a winning look.

There was nothing wrong with Anne Hathaway's vintage Valentino gown, but it was perhaps a bit conservative for the evening's hostess...even when paired with a deep red lip and a sparkling diamond necklace. Was she saving her best look for the telecast?

If there's any woman who can truly command a couture gown, it's Cate Blanchett. The Academy Award winner was stunning and extravagant in a structured Givenchy Couture creation pebbled with textured beads. Anyone else might have looked like they were trying too hard, but not Cate.

Sharon Stone ditched her regular fur ensemble in favor of a slinky feathered piece. Black Swan, anyone? Yes, please—especially with that sky-high updo.

Celine Dion's Armani Privé gown was made for her, and it shows. The structured gown's understated elegance was perfectly matched with a deep green jeweled necklace.

Natalie Portman had the year's most buzzworthy performance in Black Swan, and had fashion followers on the edge of their seats over her choice of Oscars attire. This violet off-the-shoulder Rodarte gown was a lovely choice, even if it was not nearly as dramatic as most of her fans would have liked.

Gwyneth Paltrow added a bit of sass to her minimalist sequined Calvin Klein Collection gown with Louis Vuitton earrings and a belt brooch. This is red carpet styling at its best.
