You Need A Fashion Shower!

About 2 days ago, I began following Nicola Formichetti on Twitter. He is most widely known as the new creative director for the French fashion house MUGLER, and for being a frequent collaborator with singer-songwriter and performance artist Lady Gaga.

Anyway.

He tweeted:

So of course I had to go search and listen! What I heard was pure AMAZEMENT! I wanted to share this little piece of fashion music heaven with you guys!! Enjoy!!

Look of the Day: Kim K's Floral Peplum Dress

Kim Kardashian (Bauer Griffin)
Kim Kardashian went for a shopping trip in Melbourne wearing this black peplum dress with a fiery orange flower print.

Sure sure, the peplum thing may have worn out its welcome, but something about the simplicity of Kim's look really made us swoon. Her favorite pair of sexy minimal heels were all she wore to complement the dress. No over-the-top accessories and no Kanye-esque leather, just a pretty summery style.

What do you think? Is this Ms. Kardashian at her finest or do you prefer her with a heavy heaping of glamour?

Topshop and Topman Arrive at Nordstrom Stores

(via @STYLEretard's Instagram)

Well guys, it was a great day in Atlanta when I was finally able to preview the collections for TOPSHOP/TOPMAN at Nordstroms. Atlanta was 1 of only 12 U.S. cities to receive the collections, which made this experience even more amazing! I love exclusivity.

Anyway.

Are you a fan of Topshop and Topman, but don't have a store near you? Get excited! Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com will start selling Topshop and Topman merch. That's right—British fast fashion is coming to an all-American department store near you, or at least to your computer.

(Getty) Topshop/Topman opens in Chicago last year
The premiere was cute! Complete with a DJ, Make-Up & Hair, Step & Repeat, Photographers and even digital interaction with associates armed with iPad's snagging all of the haute fashions from consumers and posting them on their instagram (nordyshopatl).

I finally ran into long time Instagram and Twitter friend, @FashionWithoutGuilt!! She's a doll!!

And as for a FULL BODY of my outfit:

As for the scenery, it was totes cute! I picked up a few items myself, and then bolted out the door to the next engagement.

Black Minimal presented by: KJohnLaSoul.com

Most of you that have been with my blog for a while, have checked out my sidebar by now (or at least you should have); and have seen "KJohnLaSOUL" under my Blog Roll. Well, I was gathering inspiration recently for some sketches I'm doing, and I came across this absolutely chic and totally Fall Fashion Moment from his site/blog and I just HAD to share it with you guys!!

So, take it all in!

KJohnLaSOUL writes:

I’ve been on this “all black” kick these past few weeks. It could probably be because of me always having to rush out the door and black is the quickest and easiest thing to put together. This button-up has to be one of the riskiest pieces I have in my closet and it’s all thanks to Bobby. I met my friend Bobby of Bobby Day a year ago and he’s been my boy ever since. Everything he designs is what I dream of having in my closet. Which is why I had to have this sheer panel shirt from his “Trade” collection.

It's Black Excellence, Opulence, Decadence at its finest! I love everything about this ensemble! It's totally my new steez for the Fall/Winter season. Check out more pictures from this clash of fashion titans below!

The Sloppy Bun Evolves!!

(Getty images, Bauer Griffin, PacificCoastNews.com)
For two completely different TV personalities, Kim Kardashian and Kelly Osbourne sure have similar taste in kooky hairstyles. Both Kardashian and Osbourne have been spotted around town wearing the same twisted topknot multiple times in the past week. Funny enough, they've also been wearing similar floral printed motorcycle jackets too. Hm. Are they secret soulmates?

(Getty images and Bauer Griffin)
Kelly Osbourne, known for her light purple-ish gray locks, usually experiments with looser hairstyles and updos—but this month, she wore a sky-high, super tight, bun to both the Chris Benz' presentation at New York Fashion Week last week and around London Fashion Week two days ago.

(Getty images and PacificCoastNews.com)
Over on E!, Kim Kardashian always pulls her hair back in the sleekest and tightest updos. Usually, her buns are bigger and flatter. But just like Osbourne, Kardashian's topknot appeared tall and twisted as she flew to Australia.

Obsession of the Day: Jeremy Scott's Spring 2013 Gold Machine Gun Paillettes

Jeremy Scott, the wild child of New York Fashion Week, showed a concise and well-edited spring 2013 collection at Milk Studios yesterday afternoon to a crowd that included this season's most ubiquitous front-rower, Olympian Ryan Lochte—who was sitting next to Tyra Banks, celebrity stylist Johnny Wujek, and Paris Hilton.

There were some amazing details in Scott's spring 2013 Middle-East-meets-B-boy-with-a-French-luxury-fashion-house-send-up collection. The sequined leopard-patterned black-and-gold mini-burqas, the toga-draped, classically printed and subtly pleated silk scarf dresses—for both men and women!—and this one amazing placement-print swimsuit:

Our biggest obsession, though, were the machine-gun gold pailletes that dangled off the sheer mesh dresses (top). Political statement or fashion statement, we like seeing a bit of toughness and aggression on the runway every once in a while.

Here are five of our favorite looks from the spring 2013 Jeremy Scott collection:

Solange Knowles In Mixed Prints for NYFW

Solange Knowles is the queen of rocking prints on prints on prints.

She was spotted making her way around Fashion week in a burgundy and blue mixed printed dress accessorized with a yellow purse and cheetah print pumps. Earlier in the week, she was spotted checking out vintage Kenyan designs front row at the Suno Runway show as well as designs by Tibi. She was also spotted at the Alexander Wang Fashion week event dressed in mixed prints while wearing a hat by South African designer Babatunde. She scooped up the hat during her recent visit to Cape Town where she filmed a new music video.

Solange was also spotted in a Nicola Easy print top as she sat front show at the Tibi show with her son Julez earlier in the week.

Rachel Roy Spring 2013 Show Report: Fun Accessories & Playful Prints (+ 5 Favorite Looks)

For spring 2013, Rachel Roy unleashed collection full of electro-bright hues, quirky prints—birds mixed with skulls, anyone?—and flowy fabrics. But what really caught our attention at the presentation were the killer cute accessories.

There were tons of compact crossbody bags in the mix (see above)—all in exotic textures and patterns like croc and snakeskin.

And who doesn't love a good amy party? Diamond cuffs, floral-painted bangles—and how cute is this—friendship bracelets brought a bit of festivity to each eclectic look.

Also noteworthy, and an often forget accessory due to it's functional purpose—belts! We love how they were injected with a vibrant pop of pattern.

Now that you've seen all the chic finishing pieces, check out our five favorite looks from the presentation:

A skull-and-bird-printed blouse with pleated eyelet trousers:

A slouchy heathered sweater with bright magenta shorts:

Bubblegum-pink printed pants with a neon-placket blouse:

An ultra-feminine canary-print romper paired with a blush-toned blazer:

A tropics-worthy maxi dress emblazoned in abstract patterns:
