Nicki Minaj Designing Clothes Now?

Well, for her perfume bottles anyway.

Nicki Minaj's new clothing line Couture by Minaj is officially here! But outfits only come in busty perfume bottle size. Sad face, we know. As it turns out, these aren't new bottles, y'all—these are outfits Nicki designed to be put on the bottles. Yeah, read that again. Outfits for bottles. Bottles wearing outfits. Half outfits to be worn by armless, legless inanimate containers.

It all became clear on the Nicki Minaj Beauty Facebook page where they said, "To celebrate the first Pink Friday on 15th March you can get your hands on a collection of Couture By Minaj outfits to dress up your Pink Friday bottle. These limited edition outfits have been designed in partnership with Nicki as a special treat for UK Barbz." Wait, WUT? *rubs eyes* This collection of bottle outfits actually has a name? Yep! It's called Couture by Minaj. Awesome. In the first Duchess of Pink "look", Nicki was inspired by her Harajuku Barbie ensemble from last spring, which had a lace-up corset and pink beret. Then, in the purple and yellow Starships Minaj hooded perfume bottle "ensemble," she took inspiration from her out-of-this-world NBA performance outfit from last year. For the Whip It Like Minaj "outfit", she decided to have her perfume go balls-out badass in a gold studded leather cap and vest.

Love the looks? Want a full size line from Minaj?

SNEAK PEEK :: Rihanna's River Island Collection [VIDEO]

(Courtesy of River Island)
Rihanna has already teased a few images from her forthcoming River Island collaboration on Instagram, but today, we got to see the pieces in action.

In this clip, originally posted on Vogue UK's website, models flit in and out of the the pop star's design studio, while she expounds on fashion.

"Every time I saw something on a rack there was something I wanted to do to it to change it," Rihanna says.

So, judging by the clothes in the clip, when she saw a t-shirt, she probably thought, "Hmm, that would look much better if it were completely backless."

And when she saw a tank top, she was like, "Needs more side-boob."

And when she saw a girl in a black skirt, with a denim jacket tied around her waist, she thought, "What is the point of being able to untie that jacket, and put it on?"

But, the most intriguing article of clothing in this clip is still just a sketch.

WADE will debut apparel and shoes at retail stores in China this year and throughout the United States in 2013.
"I first visited China in 2008, when I competed in the Beijing Olympics, and was deeply moved by the country's genuine passion for basketball," Wade said in a statement. "I have been blessed with an opportunity to make an impact on the game in the United States, and I look forward to now being active with the sport on a more global level."
What do you think about Dwyane Wade launching his own brand and saying bye-bye to Nike? Tell us in in the comments section, below.

Solange Knowles May Launch a Clothing Line Soon

Performer Solange Knowles has never been involved in the family fashion venture House of Dereon, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have an interest in fashion design. Knowles, Beyoncé's younger sister, revealed that she hopes to launch a line of her own in the near future.

Knowles reportedly told WENN (via Toronto Sun), "It's a funny thing because initially I got asked [to design a clothing line] and I was absolutely that person who frowned upon random artists and models and musicians for crossing over into that design process."

But now Solange says she's had a change of heart, since she thinks she can do it right. "A line that I really respect and was already a fan of reached out and had a great idea of us collaborating on maybe a particular collection and me just sharing ideas and prints."

Are you hoping to see Solange's collaboration sooner rather than later?

Tired of the copious celebrity fashion lines in the world? Take a deep breath and prepare yourself: There are about to be more. Looking to capitalize on famous people, Tommy Hilfiger has set up a company called MESH that will handle celebrity clothing lines specifically.

Specifically, Tommy has his eyes set on Lady Gaga, the Rolling Stones, Justin Bieber and the Who, just to name a few. He has already worked with Jennifer Lopez on her line with Kohl's and is working on partnering with Universal Music Group and their roster of stars.

The new currently-unnamed lines are going to be released this Autumn. What do you think, are you excited about more celebrity lines or do you wish they'd go away?
