Beyoncé in H&M Summer Campaign - "Standing On The Sun" [New Music + Video]

Hey Bey fans!

Fresh off of performing "Grown Woman", Bey's single from the Pepsi "Live For Now" commercial, live at her Paris show - H&M is releasing more of their "Mrs. Carter in H&M" Summer 2013 ad campaign featuring The Queen, Bey!

Check out the new video filmed in the beautiful Bahamas and directed by Jonas Akerlund. Also, listen to a new track from Bey entitled "Standing On The Sun"!

The video is so steamy! I love the new direction for H&M's summer collection, and as a Bey fan I'm loving this world music era for Bey! This is reminscent of "Baby Boy" mixed with what the visuals for "End of Time" would have looked liked!

She keeps teasing us, but between yesterday's "Grown Woman" performance in Paris, and today's H&M release, I think Bey fans will be pacified once again!

Beyonce's New H&M Ad Campaign Revealed

Beyonce and that bangin’ body are putting us all to shame (again!) now that more photos from her super sexy H&M 2013 Summer Campaign have been released. As the new face of the brightly colored swimwear line Bey shows every inch of her curves in the Jonas Åkerlund shoot, the same photographer who was behind the camera for her official “Mrs. Carter World Tour” commercial. Speaking on her latest campaign takeover for 2013, Beyonce talked about loving the summer, shooting in the Bahamas and how her mother’s bold style has influenced her own fashion choices:

On the Bahamas shoot: “I loved shooting the campaign in the Bahamas. We shot on a beach outside of Nassau and the weather was perfect. The shoot was filled with vibrant colors and was inspired by the glamour of the late ‘70s.”

On her summer style: “I love the summer. I’m always in shorts, dresses, light, flowing fabrics, great sandals,” says Beyoncé of her summer looks. She credits her stylists Ty Hunter and Raquel Smith as “an influential part of the process” each day.
On her mother’s style influence: “I think my style comes from watching my mother from the time I was a little girl. She was so stylish. She was the first person I saw mix high end pieces with more accessible styles and make it all work. I’m also inspired by my sister, I love her bold approach.”

Beyonce's H&M Campaign Finally Makes Its Big Debut

Beyoncé continued her world domination today when she unveiled her highly anticipated H&M ads.

We kind of knew this was coming, though -- rumors began to swirl back in January that the singer was working on a campaign for the Swedish retailer when one of her dancers at the shoot tweeted an accidental confirmation. But now the first shot is finally here!

The Inez & Vinoodh-lensed snap from the summer 2013 campaign features Bey lounging in the Bahamas in printed shorts, a silky blouse, high-heels and bangles. Sounds like it was plucked straight from her closet, no? That's because the star herself had a hand in design, so prepare yourself for plenty of bodycon dresses and embellished bikinis.

"I've always liked H&M's focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements -- fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island," Beyoncé said. "It felt more like making a video than a commercial."

As far as the rest of the campaign, entitled "Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M," you can expect to see more photos and even a video commercial set to Bey's new song "Standing On The Sun." Even though H&M has a history of top celebrity endorsements, it's pretty remarkable that the company was able to snag such a living icon. Recent campaign faces for the brand include Lana Del Rey, Vanessa Paradis and, our personal fave, David Beckham.

H&M's high summer 2013 collection won't be in stores until May, but you can check out her first shot from the ads below. Fiiiine, Beyoncé, we'll bow down.

David Beckham (& His Skivvies!) For New H&M Ad [VIDEO]

Ladies and gentleman, feast your eyes on David Beckham's latest undies ad for H&M. Unless, that is, you're somehow over the marvel that is the soccer stud's perfectly sculpted bum. And abs. And arms. And...yeah, didn't think so.

In the brand's new Guy Ritchie-directed commercial — which is not only coming to a small screen near you, but will also air in theaters! — Becks gets locked out of the house in his skivvies after someone in a Range Rover (VB?!) drives off with his robe. He then presumes to run around a gated community, half naked, in an attempt to get his clothes back.

Oh yeah, there's a pool involved, too. You've been warned.

Whispers: Beyonce for H&M In The Works?

Okay, if we couldn't handle this before, we really can't handle it now. Not even a week after Beyonce announced Destiny's Child is finally getting back together after eight long years, rumor has it that Bey might be the next face of H&M!

Last week, the singer posted a photo of her with baby Blue in the Bahamas to her very style-bloggery Tumblr. In the snap, she's wearing a tropical-printed bikini that supposedly belongs to the fast-fashion retailer. Check it out:

(Photo via iam.beyonce.com)

Gossip about the picture being part of an alleged campaign shoot didn't start spreading, though, until one of Bey's backup dancers, Kimberly Gipson, posted this status on Facebook: “First day of rhsl in the Bahamas! Alriiiiiight H&M…Let’s Go!”

And then today, WWD reported they reached out to the Swedish-based brand for the full scoop. The response they received? "No comment."

To quote the not-so-wise Lloyd Christmas: so they're telling us there's a chance! No comment definitely isn't a big fat no, right?

What do you think? We're dying to know! Is it all just a bunch of bologna and hearsay? Or do you think Beyonce for H&M is legitimately happening? Sound off in the comments, below!

H&M to Open Home Stores in the USA Next Year

The H&M Home store in Helsinki, Finland
A few weeks ago, I wandered into an H&M store in Helsinki, Finland—but immediately got really confused because there weren't any clothes around. Turns out, I'd stepped into the world of H&M Home—a division of the Swedish fast-fashion retailer that sells home decor products (mostly soft furnishings, it seems) at the great H&M prices we've all come to know and love.

H&M Home launched in Europe—specifically, Scandinavia, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and the UK—in 2009 and 2010. And, according to a report in today's WWD, H&M is gearing up to launch its homewares in the United States early next year.

This is great news, isn't it? Are you excited about H&M Home launching in the USA? Have you been dying to redecorate, but don't know where to buy affordable and fun interior products? Tell us in the comments, below!

Sneak Peek: Maison Martin Margiela for H&M Men's and Women's Wear Coming November 15th

Yesterday's rumor that storied Belgian-Paris fashion house Maison Martin Margiela was set to collaborate with Swedish fast-fashion retailer H&M pretty much blew up the fashion interwebs. This morning, H&M confirmed the rumors are true.

The Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collections—both men's and women's wear—will arrive in stores November 15th. And if these preview videos—check out the guy's version here and the gal's version here—are any indication, the aesthetic of the pending collaboration will err on the side of conservative, at least relative to some of Margiela's more avant garde work.

The men's video shows the sketching of a car coat—assembled using ideas and features gathered from a variety of classic car coats, rendering a final product that's both totally wearable, yet just this side of ordinary (note the asymmetrical pockets—classic Margiela). The women's video reveals a tunic-sweater sketch with what looks like perforations in the bodice and extra-long sleeves and oversized ribbing (Margiela hearts oversized-ness).

We can't wait to see what else the MMM x H&M team come up with. Which classical Margiela pieces do you hope H&M replicates? What would you line up in the morning to buy? Tell us in the comments.

David Beckham In His Undies for H&M!!

Is there anything the Beckhams can’t do? Victoria is having runaway success with her own designs, and now the LA Galaxy star is getting into designing himself—his “Bodywear” line of underwear for H&M launches in 1,800 stores worldwide on February 2nd. There will be nine different styles in total, and luckily for us, the ads will feature the sexy DILF himself, sporting nothing but the skivvies and his tattoos.

Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Hudson, Prince & More Attend Launch of Versace For H&M

Nicki Minaj stepped out in a colorful ensemble paired with Versace Platform Shoes last night for the launch of Versace’s line for H&M in New York City. The highly anticipated line that will be available later this month at H&M included embellished pieces with studs, sequins, leather, and lace. Models for the line hit the runway in pieces that included tropical prints mix-matched with brightly colored leopard prints, as well as heart-stamped dresses. The accessories are super fun and girly and include jewelry, belts, and shoes. The idea behind this collection was definitely glamorous, fun, bright, trendy, and definitely not your average H&M collection.

David Beckham Coming Out With Underwear Line for H&M

A stream of consciousness recount of this morning's email scan: Another boring summer day for fashion news. Can't be anything good happening this early on a Thursday in JULY. Oh wait, David Beckham? Getting somewhere ... Bodywear? Translates to underwear. Something to care about! Attachment — pictures? Text-only press release. Stay awake, stay awake. Wait, H&M? Don't they usually hire actual designers to do these lines?

So evidently the chain is making an exception for Beckham, like they did for Madonna. His bodywear, translates to underwear, will go on sale at 1800 H&M stores in 40 countries on February 2, 2012, in time for Valentine's Day, everyone's least-depressing non-holiday. Still, there's something jarring about H&M, which has done lines in the past with Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, and Comme des Garcons, among others, doing a celebrity line of underpants now. Maybe it's just because the Madonna line launched so long ago it's hard to remember it. This is not troubling to H&M, whose press release easily qualifies Beckham:
Considered by many to be one of the most marketable individuals in the world ...
Really, he may as well be doing a line of headbands.

Versace for H&M Coming This Fall

Yet another H&M designer collaboration is upon us, and this one promises to be major: Versace for H&M.

The fall 2011 collection is designed by creative director Donatella Versace, and according the press release published Tuesday, promises to "recall the vibrant heritage of the brand, complete with leather, prints, color and exuberance in exclusive materials at fantastic H&M prices.

Donatella gushed in the same press release, "I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere."

Unlike other designer collaborations (we're looking at you, Missoni for Target), sneak peeks of the Versace for H&M collaboration are already available...and they look fabulous. Expect to see fashionable young ladies camping out on the sidewalks to get a taste of these not-so-cheap thrills when they hit select US stores November 19.

Check out the video below to see what Donatella has planned for this fall!
