Nicki Minaj Had a Whimsical, Wonderful Time in London

Rapper Nicki Minaj is now in Paris, France, where she's likely going to attend a couture show or two—and cause a few Twitter-fueled fan blitzes, if her performance in London last week was any indication. Minaj had a wild, wacky time in London, managing to get herself kicked out of the city's poshest accommodations (the Dorchester) after inciting massive frenzies in a variety of kooky, cartoonish outfits.

On Friday, Nicki strapped herself into a bondage-inspired leather and tulle gown to host a Pink Friday Party at Studio Valbonne, matching her dress with a platinum blond wig and her signature hot pink lip. She later slipped into a relatively demure little white dress and a splotchy blue-and-green wig to sign autographs for fans outside her new hotel. By Saturday, Nicki was back in catsuit mode, pairing her flesh-baring cut-out jumpsuit with a motorcycle jacket and a breathtaking pair of Versace platform sandals.

On Sunday, Minaj wore her most responsible-looking ensemble yet—a structured red jacket, gray jeans, black boots and a Louis Vuitton bag—to take the Eurostar to Paris.

Rachel Zoe Takes Her Baby Bump Out Shopping

Any child of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe's is going to spend a good deal of time in the shops. The very pregnant reality television personality was spotted having lunch with friends at Urth Cafe this week before taking her growing baby bump to a local boutique for some retail.

Zoe was, of course, dressed fabulously for the low-key excursion in a loose-fitting floor-length black dress topped with a buttoned denim jacket. The master accessorizer carried a black Givenchy flap bag with a gold chain, which played off her bold gold link necklace. A pair of platform wedge sandals and oversized sunglasses added signature Zoe touches to her casual look.

Here’s Kim Kardashian in Inland Empire magazine this month (right picture), with the tiniest waist in the universe – a waist that has had help (besides from Spanx and a tight belt) from our frenemy Photoshop.

Then take a look at Kim’s completely different face shape on the cover of the magazine! For some unknown reason, the editors chopped off her chin, slenderized her face and elongated and thinned her neck, too:

Orlando Bloom Turns on the Smolder for Hugo Boss Orange

He may be married to one of the world's most famous models, but Orlando Bloom never really considered fronting a major ad campaign before. The new face of the Boss Orange Man fragrance explained to WWD, "I never really thought about doing it before — I guess because I probably took myself too seriously and thought, I'm an actor, I'm not a model."

But once Bloom learned more about the product, he changed his tune. Executives explained, "It's about a unique quality of independence and freedom, open minds and free souls and all of these ideas, and I was like, well, that's kind of cool. I'm a guy's guy. I'm not really a fragrance kind of guy. Suddenly, it was like, yeah I can see how this could fit. It doesn't stray too far from me."

Thus, Bloom found himself working with director Jonas Akerlund and photographer Steven Klein on the campaign for the fragrance, which hits shelves February 1. Take a look at the image above—does it look like it's all about freedom and open minds to you?

Oprah: Saving American Women, One Bra at a Time

The average American woman is now a size 14 and her bra size is 36C, up from a size 12 in 2005 and a 34B in 2000. This may be disheartening to some, but there is a sliver of good news—she's buying better bras and it's all thanks to Oprah!

In 2005, Oprah started doing segments addressing women's lack of knowledge about bra size and fit. Bra manufacturers took notice and realized they were ignoring an important segment of society—plus-sized women. Now, the plus-sized undergarment industry can rake in $3.2 billion in sales annually, and manufacturers are rapidly increasing their product offerings. Frederick’s of Hollywood president Linda LoRe says:

We made a conscious effort over the past four to five years to build the plus-size and full-figure [bra and corset] business because of the plus-size customer’s loyalty factor. This customer wants to be treated the same as a woman who wears an A- or B-cup bra. She wants fashion colors, pretty fabrics and patterns and seasonal bras and lingerie.

We're not surprised about Oprah's effect on the plus-size industry, given that her influence in other areans is well-documented. What we want to know is if anyone has ever quantified Oprah's contribution to the American economy!

While Rihanna still looks undeniably hot, the new wig seems oddly reminiscent of one malevolent cartoon character from the '90s:

Cerrutti's A/W Man

There were no hard beats to pound the runway to when Cerruti showed their autumn / fall 2011 menswear collection at Paris fashion week on Friday. Inside a bright square space at the Cerruti headquarters, soft piano music instead filled the room; playing to the classical nature of the pieces and creating an elegance that contrasted against the suprise biker elements that crept their way into the collection.

When Cerruti's fall 2011 man isn't going totally classic in three-quarter coats, or hitting the street with some tough edged leather detailing, he's turning the boldness up a notch in a slim-cut suit of shimmering pink - that leans more to glam-rocker than to flamboyant dandy courtesy of a crinkled finish.

Tom Ford Is Preparing for World Domination

Tom Ford doesn't need money. He has successful sunglass, perfume and cosmetics lines and he has received rave reviews for his men's and women's collections. Yet, rumor has it, Tom is on the hunt for a financial investor.

Styleite speculates it's because Tom wants to take fashion by storm, not in an Alexander Wang way—bigger. Think Gucci, Versace or Louis Vuitton. The only reason for him to need to seek outside financing would be if his plans were not just success, but world domination. The Imagist writes that Tom has said he'd want his brand to be regarded in the same way as Chanel and Hermès.

Oscar de la Renta Did Not Approve of Mrs. Obama's McQueen Gown

On Wednesday, Michelle Obama made fashion waves when she greeted Chinese President Hu Jintao for a State Dinner in a vivid red gown by Alexander McQueen. While most critics seemed impressed by the first lady's high fashion prowess, some—including Oscar de la Renta—are dismayed that she did not wear a dress by a Chinese designer.

In an interview with WWD, the iconic designer explained, "My understanding is that the visit was to promote American-Chinese trade—American products in China and Chinese products in America. Why do you wear European clothes?"

A worthy point, for sure, but it does sound a bit bitter coming from De la Renta, who once sniped of Obama's ensemble to meet Queen Elizabeth, "You don't go to Buckingham Palace in a sweater."
