Pregnant Beyoncé Covers Harper’s Bazaar, Designs Maternity Wear

Despite some wrinkly dress-related conspiracy theories to the contrary, Beyoncé is indeed pregnant. And while perhaps she's saving her obligatory bare-belly fashion cover for a later date (or — imagine! — she just doesn't feel like doing one at all), she has a slightly visible bump on the latest cover of Harper's Bazaar. In the interview, which runs alongside Terry Richardson's photos of her in a black Norma Kamali swimsuit and a short gold Reed Krakoff dress, she says lots of endearing things about her pregnancy and new maternity line, which she's designing with her mom for House of Dereon (and is, of course, meant to be worn with stilettos).
Here are some highlights from the story:

On all the YouTube videos of babies dancing to "Single Ladies":"There's something about that song. Maybe it's the repetition and the simplicity of the video that get the babies' attention. I've heard that babies like black and white images so maybe it's that."

On how she picks her outfits:"I like to show my waistline and legs. I feel women should find their best features and accentuate them but it's interesting to be versatile. I let my mood dictate what I wear before my curves. Sometimes I feel classic, sometimes I feel like a hipster. Sometimes I feel like a seductress and sometimes I feel like a tomboy. It's great to be a woman and have the freedom to express my emotions through fashion."

On revealing her pregnancy at the VMAs:"I put a lot of thought into how I wanted to unveil it. It was important to me that I was able to do it myself ... I didn't want a crazy picture or gossip story to break the news, so I decided to say nothing and proudly show my baby bump. I felt it was more powerful to see the love and enthusiasm as opposed to saying anything."

On her forthcoming maternity line for House of Dereon:"All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman ... It's been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant. Flowy fabrics are always flattering, but I still rock my stilettos."

Supreme x Clarks Originals Desert Mali Boots [MEN]

Supreme and Clarks have done it again! They’ve collaborated for the Desert Mail Boot which is a bit more formal but still fly in our opinion. The boots are set to drop in four colorways: grey suede, tan suede, brown leather, and black leather. They’re coppable this Thursday, October 20th via Supreme for around $330.

See the Trends That Will Be Everywhere Next Spring

After a whirlwind month of over 450 shows and presentations, the sheer volume of clothes is enough to drive anyone to do a post-Fashion Week detox. But now it’s time to break down all the looks and spot the trends that will be splashed across glossy editorials several months from now. So what does spring 2012 hold? You might be doing the Charleston, for starters, as dresses came with razzle-dazzle embellishments and drop-waists, reminiscent of the great Jazz Age. Pastels were another runway staple — skirts, shirts, jackets, and blouses all looked like they got dipped in Easter egg dye. And sportswear got a little more literal, with designers riffing on silhouettes and playing with materials more suited to the locker room than the catwalk. There are also lots of new creative ways to bare some skin come the hot weather, courtesy of crop tops, cutouts, and (really) short-shorts. See all these looks and more in our mega slideshow of the biggest trends of the season.

Tops Get Cropped

Bare midriffs made an appearance on runway after runway as tops stopped short way above the belly button. Note to those who do not have a six-pack or are just plain modest: These look much less revealing when tempered by a high-waisted skirt.

The Short Version
Warm weather heralds bare legs, and shorts next spring are cut even shorter, barely skimming the tops of thighs. These bottoms cover no more than what you may wear to the beach, so brace youself for catcalls.

ATime to Reflect
Adding polish to your wardrobe took on a whole new meaning as metallic pants, dresses, and jackets made their way down the runways. Beyond traditional gold, silver, and bronze, designers toyed with gleaming hues of purple and green.

Life Like a Box of Macarons
Neon hues have dominated for the last few seasons, but the color palette has shifted to the opposite end of the saturation spectrum. It feels more like a refreshing palate cleanser than old-lady chic, with youthful, modern touches like color-blocking, racy skirt slits, and edgy ankle boots.

 Hit the Gym
Visors, track pants, and mesh tops have left the locker room. The sporty looks were everywhere from Alexander Wang to Kenzo. And last season's parka has now morphed into a lighter, warm-weather friendly anorak.

Show Skin Where the Sun Normally Doesn't Shine
Designers took to their scissors, slicing into dresses and blouses to reveal a flash of the shoulders, a hint of clavicle or a peek of midriff. Are these to be the new erogenous zones, or just the harbinger of some really awkward tan lines?

Hips Get Some Extra Flare
Take a cue from the forties and eighties and accentuate the waist with a peplum. The flared overlays can be subtle, as they were at Céline, futuristic, as seen at Cushnie et Ochs, or unabashedly feminine, spotted at Jason Wu.

Flowers Enter the Digital Age
The delicate and sometimes overly fussy floral prints of late have given way to oversize futuristic blooms worthy of this iPad- and iPhone-obsessed digital era. The eye-catching and statement-making patterns are ultra-feminine with the perfect hint of techno edge.

Kelly Rowland’s Wardrobe Gets A ‘Risque’ Upgrade

Kelly Rowland was spotted outside of the X Factor studios this past weekend looking fab in her bright blue slacks and semi-sheer top. Known for a more conservative style since her Destiny’s Child days, she left the fans gawking while exposing her boobies through the see-through top. Hell, she’s probably thinking ‘I bought em’. Why not show these things off’. Those abs got our attention..

The next night she was spotted out in a beautiful pink dress with an opening that exposed her bra.

However, she kept it covered up and cute last week as she hit the stage of X-Factor in an Atelier Versace party dress. This is a favorite!!via.. necolebitchie.com

"Forever 21" Is Knocking Off "Made Her Think"

The original $345 "Horizons Necklace" by Made Her Think, and Forever 21's $14.80 "Sparkling Triangles Necklace."

Saying Forever 21 is knocking off a label may be as revelatory as saying the sun rose this morning, but their recent knockoffs of Made Her Think's pieces are particularly blatant. This kind of thing hurts smaller labels like Made Her Think — which has been making various iterations of this necklace for seasons — much more than it does huge ones. [Forever 21, Made Her Think]

Pop Priorities :: SOLANGE

SOLANGE, singer, songwriter and D.J.

STYLE CREDO I definitely gravitate toward prints and color. I love to play with prints on prints, but I try to have a good instinct about what to match. Like, if I have a Pendleton print, mixing that with a tribal African print will give off National Geographic-gone-bad vibes. So if I wear an ethnic print, I contrast it with a bright top, or maybe stripes. Yellow is my absolute favorite color to wear. I also love hot pink. When I match my prints with those colors, I feel it’s a “me” outfit.

STYLE INSPIRATION Diana Ross is the quite obvious one. If you look at pictures of her in the ’60s, ’70s, through the ’80s, she embodied everything about that era in such a timeless way. Her hair is a whole other conversation! And seeing photos of my mother from the ’60s and ’70s, she was a total rebel with her style. She had extremely fine hair and washed it with detergent to coarsen it up and had this amazing Afro.

RECENT PURCHASES I’m not a huge jacket girl because I grew up in Texas where we wear Daisy Dukes on Christmas. Then I lived in L.A. Having just moved here, I am understanding the importance of a real jacket. I bought a black Helmut Lang blazer and three coats from J. Crew. Now I’m moving on to walking shoes.Credit: Samantha Rapp for The New York Times

Michael by Michael Kors Sunglasses: Medina

THE BASICS
Company: Michael by Michael Kors
Price: $85
Official Site: MichaelKors.com

80 THE ASKMEN TAKE

Michael Kors’ collections are always classically executed. The same goes for his accessories line. This is especially true with these Michael by Michael Kors Sunglasses (Medina model), in which Kors put his own spin on the classic aviator-style sunglasses that have been around for forever. These shades will complement any menswear item from Kors’ collections, but for those who don’t have much of the designer in their closets, these sunglasses will still work with a lot of other options.

The Medina model come in two different colors: black plastic frames with purple lenses or tortoise plastic frames with brown frames. The latter is the harder to style because of the print. For spring 2011, brighter colors will be coming to the forefront, but a warm-weather staple seems to be white. If wearing an all-white look, either style of these shades will work well, and in some cases, it might serve as the splash of color that will round out a look. Another classic staple is denim, which would highlight the tortoise frames. Pairing denim with orange (a leading color for the spring) and the tortoise frames will also work. Our pick: Michael by Michael Kors sunglasses (Medina).

70 UNIQUENESS

These shades aren’t particularly over-the-top. As with Kors’ collections, the special and unique quality is in the details and construction. What makes these sunglasses most unique is the choice that costumers are offered in style. The purple tint on the lenses is faded to the bottom with tonal hardware on the black frame and golden tonal on the tortoise. This adds a small and subtle embellishment to the overall look and feel of the shades. For tortoise, the uniqueness is in the glasses. That probably means that an overall look will need to be minimal. In other words, basic clothing should be worn with these shades. And in spite of the print, the color makes them wearable in any season; the same can be said about the black frames.

90 DURABILITY
Kors’ accessories are executed with durability in mind. These glasses offer 100% UV protection. The arms are covered with circle logo detail. Sometimes too much embellishment can make a product more susceptible to breakage, so the good thing about these shades and their minimalist styling is that not too much care will need to be exercised when handling them -- they are durable on their own.

Top Affordable Designer Diffusion Lines

Since Isaac Mizrahi's famous collaboration with Target, designer diffusion lines have exploded. Last winter Lanvin for H&M flew off the shelves in a frenzy and even Karl Lagerfeld and Donatella Versace have joined the affordable diffusion trend. Here's a look at some high-fashion gone affordable as well as upcoming collaborations we're holding our breath for.

The mastermind behind Kim Kardashian's wedding gowns (plural), Vera Wang has been the designer on everyone's lips for years. From bridesmaids dresses to mattresses, there are few products Vera doesn't have her name on. Lucky for us, the talented designer has an affordable diffusion line, Simply Vera by Vera Wang, at Kohls. The vast collection encompasses everything from jewelry and clothes to bedding and footwear.

The world is waiting with bated breath for the Versace and H&M collaboration. Versace is simply synonymous with high-end fashion, and come November 19, the brilliant designs of Donatella will be at our fingertips. Thanks to a sneak peek, we already know the collection will be rife with Versace's famous greek key pattern, studded leather and signature fringe.

Everyone's favorite Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano, has been teaming up with Payless Shoes since the Fall of 2009 to give us ultra-fierce footwear. We are currently loving his sky-high platform booties and green alligator embossed platforms.

To much surprise, the reigning king of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, recently launched an eponymous diffusion line exclusively for Macy's. Hot pink cocktail dresses and sophisticated ascot styles hit the floors of the department store this fall to mixed reviews.
