Steal Her Style: Rihanna's JOYRICH Bag

Rihanna (FameFlynet Pictures, LALLURE)

When it comes to style, Rihanna's mantra seems to be "the funkier the better." Even though the singer bared surprisingly little skin during a recent airport sighting, she found a way to put her own spin on the classic jeans and T-shirt combo with a cowboy-esque bandana and a gold dog collar necklace. She finished off her quirky travel look with JOYRICH's bone-covered duffel bag. Make it yours for $144.

Snag Rihanna's Bone Collection Boston Bag at LALLURE.

Christian Louboutin To Design Special Baby Shoes For Blue Ivy!

Beyoncé Knowles has reportedly asked the famous shoe designer Christian Louboutin to design a pair of shoes for two-month-old Blue Ivy Carter! The new designer shoes will include his coveted red soles and be made solely for Blue.

Beyonce would like to match with her new baby girl as much as possible. After all, the mommy-daughter duo was recently spotted in matching pairs of Marc Jacobs’ gold ballet flats. So we're betting Bey will get Mr. Louboutin to design a big girl version too.

Blue Ivy isn't even six months old and she already has designer requests in the queue. We can't wait to see the little bundle of joy in her red bottoms. Infants around the world will be jealous! Take that Suri.

Beyonce is back! We've been gushing over her sweet moments with Blue Ivy, but were craving some of her distinctive high-fashion looks.

For a cocktail party with Michelle Obama and then to dinner with Jay-Z, she chose to wear this blue sheath from Victoria Beckham (enough name-dropping in that sentence?). This versatile ensemble, however, was all about the accessories: A killer Lanvin eagle necklace and platform Nicholas Kirkwoods.

Looking for date inspiration, ladies? Take some cues from the pop queen. A classic dress with statement jewelry and a sleek ponytail is foolproof.

Looks of the Day: Kim Kardashian & Rihanna

Kim Kardashian (Getty)
Kim Kardashian and waist-cinching cocktail dresses are as thick as thieves. Her selection at the Valentino store opening on Tuesday, however, veered into slightly new style territory with this full skirt and bowed waist.

It was an unexpected choice, since retro has never been part of the reality star's wardrobe vocabulary, especially not in the form of a '50s silhouette. Perhaps someone has been taking inspiration from Zooey Deschanel's darling style.

You might assume one would wear Valentino to the designer's event, but this abstract striped number was actually from Lela Rose's Fall 2012 collection. Bold move. The rest of Kim's look was nothing new: excessively fluffy false lashes, a pale pink pout, a thick ponytail, diamonds. Hey, why fix what ain't broke?

article via StyleBistro

Rihanna (Getty)
Rihanna may prefer to romp around pantsless in flame T-shirts and hip-high boots, but it's her ladylike looks that really make us swoon. For the sunny Battleship photocall in London, she proved this point in a silk Alexander Wang dress.

The olive green Pre-Fall design might have looked ordinary on anyone else, but on Rihanna it was so powerful it trumped Brooklyn Decker's risque mesh number. Maybe it's those bold blond locks, the peek-a-boo tattoos or her white talons that make this look so captivating.

Whatever it is, it's working. Looks like the pop star is following her own style mantra, "Wear the clothes. Don't let them wear you."

Kanye West - Fashion's Most Prolific Name-Dropper

I was over on one of my favorite sites the other day, and they had this ode to Kanye West as "Fashion's Most Prolific Name-Dropper", and after reading a few of the quotes from some of his songs, I was amazed as to how I could have missed so many of Yeezy's fashion lyrics!!

If you missed them too, here's a list of some of Ye's name dropping lyrics:

STRONGER
"Let's get lost tonight / You could be my black Kate Moss tonight / Play secretary, I'm the boss tonight / And you don't give a f**k what they all say right? / Awesome, the Christian and Christian Dior / Damn, they don't make 'em like this anymore."

MONSTER This one's courtesy of Nicki Minaj, but we'll count it since it's a Kanye track. "OK first things first I’ll eat your brains / Then I’mma start rocking gold teeth and fangs / Cause that’s what a motherf***ing monster do / Hairdresser from Milan that's the monster do / Monster Giuseppe [Zanotti] heel that’s the monster shoe."

RUNAWAY
"Split and go where? / Back to wearin' knockoffs, huh? / Knock it off, Neiman's, shop it off / Let's talk over mai tais, waitress, top it off / Fools like vultures wanna fly in your Freddy loafers / You can't blame 'em, they ain't never seen Versace sofas / Every bag, every blouse, every bracelet / Comes with a price tag, baby, face it / You should leave if you can't accept the basics / Plenty hoes in a baller-nigga matrix / Invisibly set, the Rolex is faceless / I'm just young, rich, and tasteless."

SO APPALLED
"Praises due to the most high, Allah / Praises due to the most fly, Prada."

BLAME GAME
"This one's another guest spot courtesy Chris Rock's obscenity-filled rant at the beginning of "Blame Game." "Look at you motherf***ing butt ass naked with these motherf***ing Jimmy Choos off / Who taught you how to put some motherf***ing Jimmy Choos on?"

TOUCH THE SKY "
Back when Gucci was the s**t to rock / Back when Slick Rick got the s**t to pop / I'd do anything to say 'I got it' / Damn, them new loafers hurt my pocket." ALL FALLS DOWN
"Man I promise, I'm so self conscious /That's why you always see me with at least one of my watches / Rollies and Pasha's done drove me crazy / I can't even pronounce nothing, pass that Versace!"

HELL OF A LIFE
"What party is we goin' to on Oscar day / Especially if she can't get that dress from Oscar de la Renta/ They wouldn't rent her they couldn't take the shame / Snatched the dress off her back and told her, 'Get away.'"

GOLD DIGGER
"Met her at a beauty salon / With a baby Louis Vuitton / Under her underarm."

THE GLORY
"Tank on empty whipping my mamma's Volvo / I spent that gas money on clothes with logos / The furrest man that s**t that you don't floss / The Goyard so hard man, I'm Hugo's boss."

CHRISTIAN DIOR DENIM FLOW Pt. 2
"Took my ma to Chanel / Had her LC the stunner / She got haters, some in the fam made us / But they don’t really matter, we escaping with our paper."

Style Survey :: Rihanna's All-Denim Ensemble

Rihanna (Fame FlyNet Picutres, Pacific Coast News)
Rihanna is no stranger to wacky looks. She's worn a sheer cutout bodysuit, neon beaded bikini, and now head-to-toe denim paried with a blinged-out Versace fanny pack. Seriously, Versace makes fanny packs. The controversial star paid homage to '90s fashion in the denim-on-denim-on-more denim outfit. The singer was en route to a fashion shoot in New York City when she wore the skinny jeans with a matching denim bustier and a chambray shirt.

The designer fanny pack emblazoned with gold dollar signs finished off the look in a really tasteful way, don't you think?.

We haven't even gotten to her hair. Rihanna wore her ever-changing tresses in a blond straight cut with bold dark roots that gave the distinct impression that some sort of furry creature was perched on her head.

While we certainly admire Rihanna's gusto, we're not quite sure how to feel about this much denim in one sitting. What do you think of her eclectic look—hot or not?

Why It Works: Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie has lunch at Nobu before returning to her Midtown hotel. (Bauer Griffin)
Let’s start with the obvious: she’s mini. And as everyone knows, everything is cuter on mini people. Knit caps? Better Extra-Small. Ballet flats? Petite please! Stilettos? No height is too high! Palazzo Pants? Well okay, not everything. But as Lionel Richie’s socialite-cum-designer daughter demonstrates with her color-blocked lunching-at-Nobu ensemble, she knows just when to say when.

The Shades: An oversized cateye, Richie’s sunglasses add a touch of sass and personality while underlining her diminutive features. The effect is this close to Olsen twin, without veering into caricature. A closer look at Nicole's accessories. (Bauer Griffin)

The Necklace: A drop necklace style from Richie’s House of Harlow line, the arrowroot-shaped pendants have just the right amount of rawness. It’s tribal meets boho, and the prismatic shade is luminous against her skin.

The T-shirt: The kind of threadbare only lots of money can buy, naturally. Worn with a nothing-to-hide black bra, but of course. It’s Sex and the City 101, and no it never gets old.

The Pants: An updated harem, sans the unflattering diaper effect and tapered leg. The embellished, Indian-inspired waistline complements Richie’s exotic jewelry without feeling too matchy, and the tangerine pop of color gives props to Pantone’s hue of the year.

The Coat: The lovechild of a tuxedo and biker jacket. In short, amazing.

Steal Her Style: Kendall Jenner's Motel Rocks Dress

Kendall Jenner (Getty, Boutique to You)

With a Kardashian pedigree and impossibly long legs, Kendall Jenner doesn't have to work very hard to impress on the red carpet. Just the same, the burgeoning model pulled out the stops at the Project X premiere in this mesh figure-hugging number. The periwinkle color contrasted perfectly with her raven hair, while its long sleeves balanced a short hemline. Fortunately you don't need big bucks or your own reality show to get your hands on Kendall's $78 Motel Rocks dress. Snag Kendall's dress at Boutique to You.

Fashion Forecast: Provocative Pleats

Emma Stone, J. Mendel, Christian Dior, BCBG Max Azria (Getty, Imax Tree)

You might typically associate pleats with school girl uniforms and modest librarian-esque attire, but accordion folds are in the midst of a revolution. The classic detail has swept the runways and red carpet in in the form of sheer chiffon, iridescent silks and revealing new cuts.

From Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr to vetted style pro Olivia Palermo, stars have been quick to join the whimsical apparel movement. With a slew of gorgeous Fall 2012 options to come, this is going to be a hard trend to resist.

Getty

Emma Stone was one of the year's biggest breakout style stars, throwing us one fab look after another. This Lanvin Merlot masterpiece from the Golden Globes had some serious tactile allure.

(Imax Tree)

BCBG Max Azria kicked-off NYFW with a '70s inspired collection. The designer continued to feature last season's favorite (beaten to death) color-blocking trend, but breathed new life into his line with airy dresses like this one.

(Flynetpictures.com)

It's not easy to replicate Olivia Palermo's innate sense of style, but this just-daring-enough maxi-dress would be a safe place to start. As expected, the fashion maven accessorized the heck out of it with a hot pink clutch and layered chain necklaces.

(Imax Tree)

Christian Dior's romantic fall collection of lilacs and rich plums heavily incorporated the delicate element. Karlie Kloss stormed the runway in this breathtaking eggplant number while another not-so-modest hot pink design touted the edgy potential of the trend.

(Imax Tree)

For spring, J. Mendel wooed us with a slew of Art Deco designs. He took the theme a step further for fall with entrancing pleated dresses like this beaded dark teal one. It's nice to see '20s influence is still in full force.

Getty

Miranda Kerr makes anything she steps into hot. This deep-plunging Marilyn Monroe number, though, came with its own dose of sex-appeal (glowing tan and darling dimples not included).

(Imax Tree)

This skin-baring Bill Blass dress was highly reminiscent of Lea Michele's shimmering Valentino gown from the New Year's Eve LA premiere. Both offered the tantalizing elegance of a deep-V with a full skirt of glimmering folds.
