Colored Suits :: Jamie Foxx & Ryan Gosling

Hey girl, we saw these photos of Ryan Gosling in an ochre, three piece Gucci suit at last night's Gangster Squad premiere, and we just had to show you. You see, it's a really tough shade to pull off, and colorful suits can go so wrong. But by keeping the look tailored, and by not shying away from bold footwear (check out those perforated loafers!) he totally pulls it off, don't you think?

Speaking of Jamie Foxx.........

As awesome as Kerry looked, it was Jamie Foxx who was turning heads this time around as he accompanied Kerry on the carpet in a purple Ozwald Boateng suit that he color blocked with a turquoise shirt and black tie. There aren’t too many people who could pull that suit off. Thumbs up!

GQ's 25 Most Fashionable Men of 2012 [List+Pics]

Whether it was athletes stepping up their game off the field, rappers saying goodbye to gaudy excess, or actors actually giving a shit, 2012 was the year famous guys finally got serious about taking risks and looking good. These are best-dressed gents we saw on every red carpet, big event, and beyond this year ending today with the five men who stood stylishly above the rest.

25. Frank Ocean

2012 was all about Ocean coming into his own as an artist. And when it came to dressing, the singer carved out a niche by mixing high-end goods with streetwear in visually interesting combos, usually finished off with a pair of old-school Vans.

24. Russell Westbrook
23. Wes Anderson
22. Archer

21. A$AP Rocky

There's a reason rappers and Rick Owens have been mentioned together this year, and that's all thanks to A$AP. The fashion-forward musician wears Margiela and Balmain with ease, but is never flashy with it. Case in point? Showing up to the more-is-more BET Awards in a slick, understated black rig.

20. Adam Levine

2012 was the year Adam Levine quit dressing like a Mad Max extra and started looking like the wealthy rock star turned jack-of-all-trades he actually is.

19. Yasiin Bey (Mos Def)
18. Andrew Garfield
17. Ryan Gosling
16. Andy Cohen

15. Jay-Z

Seated firmly on the throne, Jay-Z focused on his other big business ventures in 2012, which meant a wardrobe that consistently crossed over from black tie to cool streetwear and back again. The mogul even ditched blue jeans all together, opting instead for an arsenal of coated denim five-pockets and his beloved Baldwin camos, proving serious and stylish are not mutually exclusive.

14. Armie Hammer
13. Matt Lauer
12. Dwayne Wade
11. Matt Bomer

10. Nick Jonas

Older brother Joe may be the more adventurous one when it comes to fashion, but this year Nick earned our praises with a steady showing of dressed-up and -down looks that impressively walked the line between youthful and refined.

9. Justin Theroux
8. Tyson Chandler
7. Joseph Gordon-Levitt

6. Rob Pattinson

Pattinson's year was spent crisscrossing the globe in promotion of three flicks, giving the actor plenty of opportunities to break out his preferred Gucci suits, which he did in rapid, colorful succession. But it's not just tonal suit and shirt pairings the now former vampire got right; his grunge 2.0 getups have us wondering how much flannel we'll see on the Fall '13 runways.

5. Ewan McGregor
4. Bruno Mars
3. David Beckham
2. Zac Efron

1. Daniel Craig

Like the double-0 agent he plays on the big screen, Daniel Craig's go-to is a perfectly cut Tom Ford suit that frankly makes other famous guys look like they've never heard of a tailor. But the actor's hardly just a mannequin for his favorite designer's wares, and 2012 saw Craig expanding his sartorial horizons into new GQ-approved areas, whether it be adopting the brown suit, playing with unconventional shirt and tie combos, or just saying "eff it" and showing up to a premiere in some eye-grabbing Nikes.

Get Fitted: How To Buy A Fitted Shirt [Men's Fashi...

I saw this article over on GQ, and HAD to share it with my readers after you guys enjoyed "The Only Eight Tees You Need" so much!!

Ever pull on a dress shirt that makes you look fifteen pounds heavier, the kind that balloons out the back and with sleeves cut for a pirate? Now a range of labels is offering fitted dress shirts that perfectly contour to your body. Taylor Lautner of 'Twilight' shows you how to instantly slim down while buttoning up

A firm semi-spread collar and refined pencil stripe make a bold statement, but not a fashion-centric one. Shirt, $145, by Boss Black. Pants, $365, by D&G. Watch by Raymond Weil.

Dig superslim ties? You're going to want a small collar, like this one, to match. Shirt, $375, by Gucci. Tie, $160, by Massimo Bizzocchi. Tie bar by Thom Browne New York.

If you want a dependable slim-cut shirt that won't cost you hundreds, head to H&M. The Swedish brand has promoted European-style fitted dress shirts ever since it arrived in the States. Shirt, $40, by H&M. Tie, $135, by Salvatore Ferragamo. Pants, $195, by Boss Black.

When in doubt, invest in a crisp white dress shirt. Wear it with a suit and tie, or roll up the sleeves and throw it on with your slim-fit jeans. You can never go wrong. Shirt, $395, by Dior Homme. Tie, $165, by Dolce & Gabbana. Jeans, $315, by Prada. Tie bar by Thom Browne New York.

Just because you prefer a modern-fit shirt doesn't mean you can't evoke old-world elegance. Check out the French cuffs, the British-style spread collar, and the resplendent blue stripes. Shirt, $325, by Ralph Lauren Black Label. Tie, $125, by Conference of Birds. Pants, $195, by Boss Black. Cuff links by Dolan Bullock. Watch by Raymond Weil.

Not all brands call their slim-fit shirts by the same name. Dolce & Gabbana offers three fits—Luxury, Martini, and its slimmest cut, Gold, seen here. In this case, it's a dress shirt more suited for the evening than the office. Shirt, $325, and pants, $540, by Dolce & Gabbana. Belt by J.Crew. Watch by Raymond Weil.

The Only Eight Tees You Need

I was over on GQ today... And I just had to share with my guys what some of the staples are of the types of t-shirts, all mean should own!! A Big, Bold Graphic

T-shirts call for simple graphics, not intricate ones. This is your chance to get all Rothko. Note the shorter sleeves and how the tee hits just barely below the waist. That's how a good tee fits.

Saturdays NYC - $40

Old-School Stripes

Most striped tees have a distinct East Coast nautical vibe—you know, the sailor thing—but this burnt orange is pure Cali.

Levi's Vintage Clothing $95

The '70s Ringer Tee

A perfectly simple design that will never die. Big color and just the right amount of Dazed and Confused.

American Apparel $16

The Suit-Jacket Tee

A sport coat or suit works best with a designer tee, like this fashionably slouchy one.

T by Alexander Wang $102

The Perfect V-Neck

A good V hits well below your Adam's apple and well above that strapping chest of yours.

Alternative $80

The Vintage Rock 'n' Roller

A replica of a promo shirt for Jamaican DJ Mikey Dread's radio show; once worn by Joe Strummer.

Worn Free $45

The Pocket Tee

Not just any purple: The dye is rich and inky, and the tee will break in uniquely, like good denim.

Ralph Lauren Black Label Denim $78

The Surfer Tee

Even if you're a landlocked midwesterner, it's your birthright as an American to channel vibey West Coast surfer energy via a T-shirt.

Lightning Bolt $35

Trey Songz for GQ Magazine

Trey Songz snagged a feature in GQ magazine for their March 2012 issue showing off the best sports jacket and blazer looks for the fellas in the Spring. For the 10 page feature ‘The Most Important Items In Your Wardrobe’, he rocked dapper styles by J. Crew, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren Black Label, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Emporio Armani & Etro. According to GQ, if you are a guy and you don’t already own a well-fitted sports jacket, it should be the first thing on your list to buy this spring. While getting ready for his 2012 release of his album ‘Chapter V,’ Trey dished to GQ about possibly changing up his music style in the future by following in Marvin Gaye’s footsteps and making music that changes lives. He also dished on why he thinks Twitter and Facebook take away the mystery of an artist’s “persona”:
On Making Music Like Marvin Gaye — Love Songs to Changing Lives I could make a hundred “Bottoms Up’s but they won’t change nobody’s life. Marvin Gaye sang love songs to a certain point, and then it was like, ‘F–k this; I’m not clean-cut no more. I’m putting this skully on, letting this beard grow out, and I’m doing whatever the f-ck I wanna do.
On if he’ll change up his style I might. Give me a couple of years, though.
On Social Networking and whether it ruinis the Mystery of Artists What made Prince, Prince is, you didn’t know sh-t about him. As an artist, you need a persona, a mystique. When you step into Twitter, Facebook, all of that, you’re giving a piece of it away.
Check out his photo spread below:

Men's Fashion - The Bag

I told you guys about Men carrying bags as a huge Fall/Winter trend, so hopefully this will help boost your manly confidence.

Brent S: When the bag is thought of it is mostly given the stable as being dominated for one sex. That sex being females of course, the major accessory for the female population the bag rules their world. From Michael Khors to Salvatore Ferragamo the bag clutch even in some styles the wallet is monopolized by the female fashion industry. But today the masculine men who want the style and of a carry all bag, as well as the aesthetically pleasing appeal of different colors, fabrics, patterns. Today there is not a man I know that will not tote around a backpack, briefcase, or tote bag that doesn’t have some influence on his style.
