STYLE UPDATE :: Rita Ora & Her Accessories

British singer Rita Ora was swagged out earlier this week as she left an appearance on Good Morning America. While there, she revealed that she worked in a shoe store when she was 15 which might explain her obsession with sneakers. (She owns over 150 pair).

Taking a break from her usual retro Jordans, Rita was spotted strolling through Soho in Blumarine sneaker heels/ Lace up boots (which could possibly be the best of both worlds). The kicks feature a platform heel and metallic exterior that change color when the light hits them.

As much as I tried to HATE these shoes, because they look like the fake Jordan Sneaker Heels that you get tagged in on Facebook, but for some reason the way she rocks them, is captivating to me.

British singer Rita Ora shined in front of 80000 fans this past weekend while performing at the Capital FM Summertime Ball in the U.K. Before she hit the stages, she walked the red carpet in a Happy Ashley dress and her favorite Retro Jordans while stunting in some Tatty Devine At Lash Shades from Modcloth.

Later that night, she ripped the stage in a Happy Ashley shirt and custom jeans designed by a Fashion Design graduate from the University of Westminster.

Cassie V&V ‘Guardian Angel’ Gun Bag

I’ve never held a gun before. Never had the desire to…but these bags are kind of dope. Over the weekend, Cassie posted a photo of herself with the caption, #StopTheViolence, while holding a clutch bag with a gun embossed on the side. The bag, from Vlieger & Van Dam’s ‘Guardian Angel’ collection, gives the illusion of the owner being armed. There are also a few from the collection that have a butcher knife embossed on the side as well as handcuffs. According to Vlieger & Van Dam’s website, the bags narrate the increasing violence and crime in the media, objectifying our addiction to fear.

Trendsetter Rihanna is a huge fan of the ‘Guardian Angel’ collection and has been spotted several times with the ‘handgun’ tote as well as a handcuff clutch.

Denim-on-denim is officially a thing. Finally we can actually wear our Levi's jacket and chambray button-down with our favorite pair of skinnies sans shame—Hollywood says so. The long-taboo trend (thanks in part to Britney Spears and JT) keeps popping up on our favorite stars. From high-fashion hipster Kate Bosworth and pop princess Rihanna to classic dressers like Cameron Diaz and Charlize Theron, the style continues to permeate.

It may be hard to top a blinged-out fanny pack, but who do you think works the look best?

Confirmed: Yves Saint Laurent will be Renamed Saint Laurent Paris, Moving HQ to Los Angeles

Executives at Yves Saint Laurent have confirmed that yesterday's rumors are true—newly minted creative director Hedi Slimane will rename the storied French fashion house Saint Laurent Paris. Additionally, Slimane will relocate the design studio headquarters from Paris to Los Angeles.

WWD reports that the ready-to-wear line, currently called Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, will be renamed Saint Laurent Paris; the "Yves Saint Laurent name will continue to be used for 'institutional' purposes, and the YSL logo... will remain intact in its original version."

As for the move to Los Angeles, "The creative studio is in a designer's head, it resides within the person," Pierre Berge, co-founder of the Yves Saint Laurent label. "Hedi lives in Los Angeles. He should be left to do fashion in a city he likes."

What do you think about a major French fashion house relocating its headquarters to Los Angeles? Do you think it will change the essential nature of the Yves Saint Laurent brand? Maybe the brand needs it? Sound off in the comments.

\According to a story in The Hollywood Reporter, Nene's inked a deal with licensing agency Beanstalk which will "look to license a range of consumer products built around fashions that will appeal to the women who have watched her evolve on the show."

Sneak Peek: Maison Martin Margiela for H&M Men's and Women's Wear Coming November 15th

Yesterday's rumor that storied Belgian-Paris fashion house Maison Martin Margiela was set to collaborate with Swedish fast-fashion retailer H&M pretty much blew up the fashion interwebs. This morning, H&M confirmed the rumors are true.

The Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collections—both men's and women's wear—will arrive in stores November 15th. And if these preview videos—check out the guy's version here and the gal's version here—are any indication, the aesthetic of the pending collaboration will err on the side of conservative, at least relative to some of Margiela's more avant garde work.

The men's video shows the sketching of a car coat—assembled using ideas and features gathered from a variety of classic car coats, rendering a final product that's both totally wearable, yet just this side of ordinary (note the asymmetrical pockets—classic Margiela). The women's video reveals a tunic-sweater sketch with what looks like perforations in the bodice and extra-long sleeves and oversized ribbing (Margiela hearts oversized-ness).

We can't wait to see what else the MMM x H&M team come up with. Which classical Margiela pieces do you hope H&M replicates? What would you line up in the morning to buy? Tell us in the comments.

If you live near an Abercrombie & Fitch, you'll know that one of the best things about summer is that the hot Abercrombie guys working the front door lose their shirts and have to stand there, topless, having their abs objectified, all season long.

This year, as a special treat, A&F have asked their shirtless wonders to cover Carly Rae Jepsen's ubiquitous hit "Call Me Maybe." Want to see the result? Scroll down. We've got the video right here.

Solange Knowles Her Color - [Yellow Trend ALERT]

It looks as though Solange Knowles secret is out; She’s VERY obsessed with yellow. (sort of like LisaRaye’s obsession with white).

On Monday night, she lit up the room as she stepped out for the CFDA Fashion Awards held at Alice Tulley Hall in New York City. For the event, she dressed in a yellow Marni Spring 2012 dress paired with yellow Missoni Sandals and a Marni handbag.

Now, yellow isn’t the easiest color to mix and match, but over the past year alone, Solo has showed us how to rock yellow in various settings; from casual to upscale to red carpet to out and about. She seems to have it covered.
