Did Rihanna Just Call Rita Ora a Copycat?

Imitation might be the sincerest form of flattery, but Rihanna is the furthest from flattered after Rita Ora's recent appearance at the MTV EMAs.

According to a report in The Sun, RiRi is "pissed off" that the up-and-coming British singer is stealing her style, and the girls' Roc Nation manager—yup, Jay-Z, himself!—was called in to handle the sitch. 

“Rihanna was furious when she spotted Rita Ora’s dress for the EMAs, a rose gown that looked like one she wore in 2010," a source told The Sun. “But she was even more annoyed when Rita went on stage using an umbrella as a prop."

If you remember, the Bajan singer wore this breathtaking Elie Saab Couture gown to the American Music Awards back in 2010:

And here's another look at the strikingly similar Marchesa gown Ora sported just a few weeks ago; plus the umbrella (ella, ella) that ignited RiRi's fury:

Did JW Anderson Knock Off J. Crew?

These days, it isn't uncommon to find high-end designer lookalikes at mass-market stores—but when's the last time you saw a luxury designer knock off something from a retail chain?

Say hello to JW Anderson's men's striped cashmere sweater, new for fall and currently available at Oki-ni for $853. Does it look familiar? If you're a loyal reader of Bryanboy's blog, it sure might.

This past March, Bryanboy wrote about finding this, above right, "vintage" J. Crew sweater at Kiliwatch in Paris. He bought it for 25 Euros and wore it for a photo.

 While shopping for fall looks on Oki-ni, Bryan stopped short. "

At first I was like, wait a sec, that sweater looks so familiar!" he writes. "Then I was like, wait, I already have it!"

We have no idea how the 25 Euro J. Crew sweater morphed itself into a $853 luxury cashmere pullover for fall. Obviously, lots of designers look to vintage for inspiration, but what do you think of this level of direct copying? And from a mass market chain store, no less!

Denim-on-denim is officially a thing. Finally we can actually wear our Levi's jacket and chambray button-down with our favorite pair of skinnies sans shame—Hollywood says so. The long-taboo trend (thanks in part to Britney Spears and JT) keeps popping up on our favorite stars. From high-fashion hipster Kate Bosworth and pop princess Rihanna to classic dressers like Cameron Diaz and Charlize Theron, the style continues to permeate.

It may be hard to top a blinged-out fanny pack, but who do you think works the look best?

Who Wore Brian Lichtenberg Better: Britney Spears or Ashley Tisdale?

When Britney Spears is on the job, she can be counted on to wear one of two things: A body-con mini dress or a spangled leotard (real pop stars don't wear pants, see). The pop singer's dedication to all things short, tight and bright is such common knowledge, reports that her X Factor rider included 32 Hervé Léger dresses —the gold standard in skintight red carpet wear—seemed completely believable.

No one was surprised when Spears showed up to the first day of X Factor taping last month in a hot pink frock by celebrity favorite Brian Lichtenberg. It was surprising, however, to see former High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale hit a Las Vegas restaurant opening in the very same minidress just two weeks later.

Britney paired the dress with black suede YSL pumps despite the Texas heat, while Tisdale hobnobbed with Afrojack and Paris Hilton in a pair of beige platform pumps. Both of the well-tanned blondes went sans bra, playing up the dress' peek-a-boo sheer panel at the bust.

Who Wore Ferragamo Better: Rosario Dawson or Jennifer Lopez?

With the color blocking trend still holding strong, it's no wonder Jennifer Lopez opted to wear this exquisite Salvatore Ferragamo gown for one of the last episodes of American Idol's current season. The gown's bright fuchsia halter neckline looked gorgeous behind the judging table—and matched the ankle-breaking platform pumps that peeked out beneath the dress' turquoise skirt.

But Lopez was not the first celebrity to make an impact in this particular gown. At Vanity Fair's Oscar party in February, Rosario Dawson wore the very same piece, albeit styled quite differently. Dawson opted not to wear oversized earrings, allowing the halter neckline (tied at the nape of the neck, in her case) to stand alone beneath an imperial updo. Her footwear was considerably less daring, however: Black peep-toe pumps can only be so exciting.

Who Wore It Better: Monica vs. Lala In Christian Louboutin Bourriche Studded Ankle Boots

Just last week Monica hit up an album signing at J&R Music in sweats and heels. She paired an over-sized Balmain button up top with pink sweats and Christian Louboutin Bourriche Studded Ankle Boots.

Lala Anthony wore a pair of the CL Studded Ankle Boots at the ‘Think Like A Man’ premiere in Atlanta. She paired her with a Tiki leather panel dress that she accessorized with a pink belt.

Monica also wore the booties while performing the National Anthem at the NCAA Final Four game in New Orleans.

Who Wore Floral Givenchy Better: Fergie or La La Vasquez?

We love a fabulous statement dress and so do Fergie and La La Vasquez, it seems. Both starlets stepped out this week in an eye-catching floral print dress from the Givenchy 2012 Resort Collection. But whose festive spring look made a stronger statement?

Both ladies wisely decided to keep accessories to a minimum and let the bold print of the Givenchy dress do most of the talking. Fergie paired the frock with black pointed-toe pumps and a classic black clutch. The Black Eyed Peas diva left her blond locks loose and wavy and kept her make-up simple to create a sexy, fresh-from-the-beach vibe.

Vasquez, meanwhile, chose Christian Louboutin Summerissima crisscross suede and leather platform sandals and pulled her hair up into a sleek bun (the better to show off a pair of sparkling diamond earrings).

New York Fashion Week is in full swing with fashionistas hitting up various the various shows in Manhattan. Angela Simmons was spotted earlier today hitting up a few shows including BCBG MaxAzria. She wore a black knee-length dress that she paired with Giuseppe Zanotti leopard print pony wedges and a gold Giuseppe Zanotti body belt necklace.

If the neckpiece/belt combination looks familiar, it was first spotted in Beyonce’s ‘Girls Who Run The World Video’. Serena Williams was also spotted wearing a black dress combination with the gold neckpiece last year while attending the 8th Annual Keep A Child Alive Ball.

Jennifer Williams In A Sexy Mark Fast Cut Out Dress

Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams took a break from Miami this past weekend to return to Jersey for some philanthropy and partying. She was spotted in a sexy black Mark Fast Cut Out Dress while attending Marty Small’s ball in Atlantic City. Ciara was spotted in the same dress last year while attending Jay-z and Lebrons 2 Kings Dinner.

What better way to bring in the New Years than with a super sexy bandage dress from Herve Leger? Mary J. Blige was spotted in the off white number with gold embellishments on Saturday night as she rang in the New Year at the Grand Opening of RPM in Las Vegas. Earlier in the month, video vixen Dollicia Bryan was spotted in the same dress from Herve Leger’s Fall 2011 Collection at a Smooth Magazine cover party at Eden, and back in April, J. Lo wore the dress during a taping of American Idol.

Who Wore All Saints Best: Lourdes Leon, Ashley Tisdale or AnnaSophia Robb?

On Wednesday, Ashley Tisdale slipped into a sparkly little mini for the premiere of Disney's Phineas & Ferb in Los Angeles. While Tisdale looked adorable as ever in her geometrically patterened AllSaints Spitalfields dress, there was something extremely familiar about the frock: It had already been worn by two other stars!

Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon paired the dress with youthful bangles and a pair of simple black pumps to attend the Vanity Fair Oscar party in February. In April, actress AnnaSophia Robb wore the dress to Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards, accessorizing her look with a delicate gold necklace.
