Julez For Japan!

It seems talent runs in the family.

Daniel Julez J. Smith, the six-year-old son of singer Solange Knowles (and nephew of artists Beyonce and Jay-Z) has designed a shirt to raise money for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

According to a website set up by the elder Knowles for the project, "'Julez for Japan' is a watercolor designed t-shirt, inspired by the recent tragic earthquake and Tsunami in Japan."

"My 6-year-old son, Daniel Julez J. Smith, was highly affected by the devastating footage he witnessed of the catastrophe," Knowles writes on the site."After a series of questions and conversations, he decided he wanted to contribute in some way."

The singer insists her youngster imagined the design himself and even includes a photo of the artist at work. The design was created using a scan of Julez's watercolor interpretation of the Japanese flag.

The shirts can be purchased at the Big Cartel website with all proceeds going towards Peace Winds Japan, a nonprofit disaster relief organization.

Jessica Simpson Stores Coming to a Mall Near You

Jessica Simpson's eponymous clothing brand has become an global success. Though it could have easily gone the way of many less successful celebrity brands, Simpson's fashion empire is expected to do $1 billion in sales by the end of 2012. Jessica doesn't get to keep the cash, but she pulls in a pretty penny on royalties.

But where does it go from here? Vince Camuto, who owns the brand's licenses, says he envisions bridal, housewares and even freestanding stores. Yes, a Jessica Simpson store could be sitting next to your local Forever 21 or Gap in no time. The key, says Vince, is Jessica is hands on for all aspects of the project. He says:

She can be at a meeting for eight, nine hours, or she can be working two to three days in a row...Jessica knows her shoes and she has quite a good following — three million followers on Twitter...The customer sees Jessica Simpson with great product, day in and day out, at a great price. That’s what makes it a success. She talks about it, she wears the product.

Earlier this year, television personality Kelly Osbourne replaced Taylor Momsen as the spokesmodel for Madonna's juniors clothing line, Material Girl. The Spring 2011 ad campaign—featuring looks styled by Madonna's daughter Lola—dropped shortly thereafter, and on Thursday, Kelly celebrated the launch of the latest collection at Macy's Beverly Center.

Kelly was, of course, outfitted entirely in pieces from the collection, including a high-waisted floral skirt, a polka-dot blouse and a faded denim jacket. Why hello, Desperately Seeking Susan!

Solange Knowles May Launch a Clothing Line Soon

Performer Solange Knowles has never been involved in the family fashion venture House of Dereon, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have an interest in fashion design. Knowles, Beyoncé's younger sister, revealed that she hopes to launch a line of her own in the near future.

Knowles reportedly told WENN (via Toronto Sun), "It's a funny thing because initially I got asked [to design a clothing line] and I was absolutely that person who frowned upon random artists and models and musicians for crossing over into that design process."

But now Solange says she's had a change of heart, since she thinks she can do it right. "A line that I really respect and was already a fan of reached out and had a great idea of us collaborating on maybe a particular collection and me just sharing ideas and prints."

"When I cut my hair, the whole sound changed, my style changed," Rihanna insisted. She was referring to the jet black bob she got just before her song "Umbrella" took over the airwaves for months upon months.

Now the star has made an art out of experimenting with fashion and beauty. "Fashion has become more about taking a risk. When I am putting looks together, I dare myself to make something work."

Lady Gaga's 'Pray for Japan' Bracelet Raises $250,000

Lady Gaga may be a little out there sometimes but, despite her eccentricities, you have to admit that Gaga has a heart of gold. In just one weekend, Gaga raised over $250,000 to benefit tsunami relief efforts in Japan.

Gaga designed a rubber bracelet with the words "We Pray for Japan" and is selling them for $5 on her official site. She appealed to her Little Monsters with this message:

"Little Monsters, show your support for Japan with this "We Pray For Japan" wristband! Choose your price to add an additional donation with your wristband. All proceeds go directly to Japan relief efforts."

Lopez simply said, "You know, all girls love diamonds."

Rachel Zoe: 9 Months Pregnant, 6-Inch Heels

Rachel Zoe has never really been all that into practicality...at least not when it comes to shoes. The celebrity stylist cannot part with her towering stilettos and booties—not even now, when she's in the final month of her pregnancy.

Zoe and her husband Rodger Berman were snapped heading to lunch in Beverly Hills on Monday, with Zoe outfitted in a roomy black tunic, black leggings, a wide-brimmed hat and leopard print booties. Rachel tweeted last week, "Who said one can't rock 6 inch high leopard booties by @Brian_Atwood at 38 weeks pregnant!!!"

At least we know Rachel will always stay true to herself, even through mommyhood.

Tyra Drops the 'Banks' on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'

Tyra Banks is no longer Tyra Banks: She's just Tyra.

On Friday, the supermodel-turned-entrepreneur paid a bisit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she discussed her new makeover site and her plans to ditch her last name.

"We can drop it right now, call me Tyra," the former supermodel said. "Okay, I have officially dropped the 'Banks' from 'Tyra' on the Ellen show."

Nevermind that Tyra's production company, Bankable Productions, takes its name from Tyra's last name.

The America's Next Top Model creator went on to talk about TypeF.com, a customizable fashion and beauty site that launches Tuesday. "Beauty is not one size, one shade, one style, one color—YOU are beauty and typeF.com is the beginning of a movement that starts with and for YOU," Tyra's welcome message reads.

So...do you think Tyra will stick by her word and drop her last name from the credits? Or is this just a well-timed publicity stunt?

"Rihanna: On Fame, Family, and How She Really Feels about her Curves" is the headline on Rihanna's April 2011 Vogue cover. The much-discussed issue has been revealed in a covert stealth shot featured on Fashion Bomb Daily.

On the cover, Rihanna still sports her red locks, but in a Jessica Rabbit-esque 'do. She wears a sheer sequin-embellished gown from Chanel's pre-fall collection. It's the second unique and edgier cover for Vogue in a row, following Lady Gaga's pink-wigged March cover. We were hoping Riri would ditch the red locks for it, but sadly, it seems not even Anna Wintour can persuade Rihanna to part with her flaming hair.

Speculation about Emmanuelle Alt's first Vogue Paris cover can now stop—the cover art has finally been released. Instead of continuing on with Carine's dark and edgy style, Emmanuelle has taken a step in the other direction.

For the April edition of the magazine, she styled Gisele Bundchen in a light and airy sheer lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana. It's a softer, more commercial look—aka one that advertisers will likely prefer. It'll be interesting to see what she does in coming months. August is supposedly the pivotal issue where her full vision for the magazine will be revealed.

Hands up if you're a Russian billionaire—we'd like to date you! Seriously though, Naomi Campbell is living the good life. She was spotted traveling with not one, but two Hermès Birkins and a snow leopard Alaïa coat. It doesn't really get much better than that!

Naomi's Birkins were on display as she arrived at the Ritz in Paris for fashion week. She toted a classic black bag into the hotel, then left carrying a brown crocodile one. Keep note, the starting price for a Birkin is around $5,300 and they go up into the tens of thousands.
