The Best Dressed at the 2011 Latin Grammy Awards

Latin America's hottest stars definitely know how to make an entrance! From sequins to plunging necklines, Demi Lovato to Shakira, check out who sizzled and who fizzled at the 2011 Latin Grammy Awards.

There's no question that Zoe Saldana made everyone else green with envy in an intricately beaded Elie Saab gown. The belted dress perfectly hugged the actress' svelte figure and was a knockout choice for the red carpet. Perfectly pretty curls and thick lashes finished off her look.

In perhaps one of her best looks to date, Sofia Vergara made a major impact at the Latin Grammys in a stunning silver Reem Acra gown. Between its intricate embroidery and perfect fit, the Old Hollywood style was perfectly befitting of the voluptuous actress.

Julie Ferretti left little to the imagination at the Latin Grammys in an ultra low-cut orange gown. The revealing strapless dress exposed most of her decolletage as well as a good majority of her legs! A hard case clutch and curled side-swept 'do added polish to the bold look.

Demi Lovato took the plunge at the Latin Grammy Awards by wearing her rasberry Roland Mouret gown backwards. She accented her revealing low-cut style with auburn ringlets and glossy red lips. Do you like Demi's risqué look?

In her shimmery houndstooth cutout gown, Adrienne Baillon brought to mind another Latin bombshell–Jennifer Lopez. She teamed her ab-revealing dress with a sleek top knot, matte red lips and thick lashes for added sizzle.

The Best and Worst Dressed at the Emmy Awards 2011

In many ways, deciding what to wear to the Primetime Emmys is like deciding on a wedding dress. Some go subtly chic, others bold and empowering, and others wear peculiar hat-like head things with feathers. Point is, the stars go all out and we're here to bring you all the highlights. Enjoy!

Hello '90s! Gwyneth Paltrow hit the Emmy Awards in an exotic two-piece Emilio Pucci dress with sheer tulle trim. The intricately embroidered black-and-nude dress showed off Gwyn's toned abs and was a definite departure from her typically feminine aesthetic. Sleek blond locks and glowing skin finished off the look. Do you think bare midriff on the red carpet is a do or a don't?

We were eagerly awaiting Lea Michele's dramatic Emmy entrance, as her red carpet swagger is simply unparalleled. The Glee actress opted to wear a sleek backless Marchesa gown with ornately layered shoulders and a romantic mermaid silhouette. The vibrant red design was paired with a banged 'do and a confident pose.

Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev wowed at the 2011 Emmys in a sensational red strapless Donna Karan gown with a dramatic train. The ravishing dress' unexpected pleated details and flattering gathered sweetheart bust made is an unforgettable choice. A gleaming diamond choker necklace and sideswept curls finished off her flawless style.

Mad Men's voluptuous Christina Hendricks stepped onto the Emmy red carpet in a breathtaking custom silver beaded gown by Johanna Johnson. The fiery red head showed off her killer curves in the ornate gown brimming with Old Hollywood glamour. A thigh high slit and bold red lips topped off Christina's sultry style.

Kerry Washington never disappoints on the red carpet! She stunned at the 2011 Emmys in a dazzling red sequined Zuhair Murad gown with a daring sheer skirt. She finished off her va-va-voom Jessica Rabbit-inspired look with a chic wavy bob, a matching clutch and fire engine red lips.

Kate Winslet brought her effortless glamour to the Emmys in a minimalist Elie Saab gown with a plunging neckline. The crimson dress hugged Kate's curves, while still leaving plenty to the imagination. Drop earrings and a diamond bangle finished off Kate's flawless look.

While Dianna Agron's Roksanda Ilincic gown added a captivating pop of color to the Emmy red carpet, we fear the silhouette and choice of shoes was too mature for the young actress. It's impossible, however, to detract from the Glee star's relentless beauty. A box clutch and retro updo polished off Dianna's dramatic look.

At Christian Siriano's Spring 2012 runway show at NYFW, Heidi Klum revealed to us backstage that she would be wearing one of the designer's textured designs for the Emmy Awards. The svelte model loves to show off her enviable legs (and who can blame her?), opting to wear a cocktail length tulle design. The ecru number was clearly inspired by the rich texture of sea coral.

Ooh la la! Kelly Osbourne turned heads at the 2011 Emmys in a showstopping J. Mendel gown. The Fashion Police star showed off her elegant dress' asymmetric straps by wearing her newly lavender frosted locks in a sleek updo. Matching drop earrings and a glittery clutch were the ideal finishing touches to this fab look.

Elie Saab is ceaselessly a favorite on the red carpet, and the Emmys are reminding us exactly why. Emily Blunt looked ravishing in a midnight blue confection from Saab's Fall '11 Couture collection. A beaded bodice sparkled with a plunging neckline and frothy tulle adorned skirt gave a rich texture to Emily's award-worthy style.

Best of Couture Week Fall 2011

Only a select group of prestigious designers show at Paris Couture Week. Giambattista Valli debuted his couture collection to rave revues, while staples like Valentino and Elie Saab took breaths away with their ornate designs. Check out the most spectacular couture collections of Fall 2011!

Elie Saab

Those who say romance is dead have not seen an Elie Saab Couture runway show. Saab's ombré palette begins with ice blue and gradiates to ivory, peach, dusty mauve, midnight blue and back to ice with a single triumphant wedding gown. Elie revels in a woman's curves and has perfected the delicate relation of fabric, light, and air, countering weightless tulle with sparkling bead clusters—revealing provocative glimpses of skin through floor-sweeping bejeweled chiffon. Even his above-the-knee dresses sparkle with timeless ethereality.

Givenchy

Quality over quantity is an understatement for the Givenchy Couture collection. Riccardo Tisci created a collection of 10 heavily embellished ethereal pieces that range in color only slightly from white to champagne. Tisci questions the expected, playing with balance, light and exposure (pants need not apply). Thick embroidery is placed on sheer nylon and tulle, lush feathers and perfectly combed fringe float weightlessly while paillette scales and honeycomb beading armor the bodices of the statuesque figures. The precision and dedication of each piece of art simply defines couture.

Azzedine Alaïa

For his first show in 8 years, Azzedine Alaïa thrives on his famous fit-and-flare silhouette, tiered ruffles and the weighted fabrics he (and his clientele) so adore. The show starts out lighter with a frothy gray fur alongside vibrant green and egg-shell felted wool coats. Progressively Alaïa draws us in deeper with dark maroons and black patent alligator embossing. A true lover of countering textures, the designer pairs supple velvet (a couture favorite this season) with shining satin and luxe feather trim, makes a skirt-suit of burgundy crocodile and creates flouncy scalloped ruffles out of crisp Italian wool. Fairy-esque petal hems run rampant, creating a surreal feel to Alaïa's long-awaited and much missed runway show.

Alexis Mabille

Taking inspiration from La Fontaine's classic fables, Alexis Mabille created 18 pieces that each reflect a wild animal for his Fall '11 couture collection. He embarks onto dangerous territory in every sense, as the designs are as unpredictable and incohesive as nature itself. There are some definite hits in the collection like his white feathered leopard and the captivating duality amongst his fur-sleeved wolf and fox. A cardinal rule in fashion is to never be too literal, as seen with Mabille's yellow swan slip. We do, however, love rule-breakers—and a show that leaves us wondering.

Stéphane Rolland

Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj have a new collection to look to for their statement-making red carpet choices. Stéphane Rolland's Fall '11 couture line is full of vibrant colors and gravity-defying designs. A lover of metalwork, Rolland's show isn't complete without the contrast of structured metallics and airy fabrics. Our favorite piece? A hot pink gown looked to be dipped in black ink. His designs, of course, are not for the faint at heart, as he finished his show with a kimonoesque robe made entirely of rope. Structured origami-inspired designs walked the runway, delivering the drama couture dreams are made of.

Zoe has quickly become a favorite star to watch on the red carpet. Here she hits the scene in a black Elie Saab design. This layered ensemble has an interesting ruffled jacket and gathered mini skirt. The cloth covered button adds a quant touch to his fashion forward look.
