Kim Kardashian Hits The Red Carpet Of ‘Cruel Summer’ In Balmain With Kanye West

Kanye and Kim Kardashian have some weird chemistry when it’s actually time to pose for pics together.

The made-for-the-paparazzi couple hit up the red carpet together for the first time earlier today for the screening of ‘Cruel Summer’, a short film written, produced and directed by Kanye. The film premiered at Cannes as a ’7 screen experience’, described as ‘a fusion of short film and art installation’, and features a few of Kanye’s good friends like comedian Aziz Ansari and Kid Cudi as well as Lebanese actress Razane Jammal and Palestinian actor Ali Suliman.

Kim stepped out in a Balmain dress from the 2012 Resort collection paired with black Guiseppe Zanotti for Balmain boots while Kanye opted for a cream colored suit jacket, jeans and loafers.

Jimmy Choo Launches Interactive Street Style Microsite Choo 24:7

Jimmy Choo's most ardent fans now have a place to see and be seen on the Web.

The posh London-based shoe label has just launched Choo 24:7, an interactive microsite that invites fans and photographers to submit street style images that reflect their personal style.

Shoe lovers can not only check out how tastemakers from Paris to Nashville are styling their signature stilettos, but also create their own Stylemaker photo galleries directly through Facebook or personal digital photo albums. Photos tagged #choo247 on Instagram will also feed to the site, where users will find links to buy the Jimmy Choo pieces featured.

To kick off the project, street style photographer Eddie Newton of Mr. Newton exclusively photographed two special Jimmy Choo fans: editor Caroline Issa in London and actress Jessica Joffe in New York. Throughout the next year, new headline Stylemakers will be unveiled in different cities, reflecting the global personality of Jimmy Choo.

Teyana Taylor made her first red carpet appearance as the first lady of G.O.O.D Music yesterday as she attended the premiere of Kanye West’s new film, ‘Cruel Summer’. Joined by G.O.O.D Music artists Big Sean, Pusha T and D’ Banj, she hit the red carpet in a white Emilio Pucci dress with a plunging neckline, accented with a gold belt and Versace pumps.

Later, she hit the stage at the after party to perform songs off of her new mixtape, ‘The Misunderstanding Of Teyana Taylor’.

Best and Worst Dressed at the Cannes Film Festival 2012

(Source: Bauer Griffin, PacificCoastNews.com, Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Europe)
The French Riviera becomes yet more glamorous each May with the arrival of the annual Cannes Film Festival, a celebration of the finest in upcoming film. See which stars deserve accolades for the fine taste, too.

UK pop star Cheryl Cole took a dramatic turn in a Stéphane Rolland Couture gown with dainty cap-sleeves and a brilliant crimson feathered train. David Morris diamond chandelier earrings added the requisite sparkle beneath her long auburn hair.

Blush-hued dresses don't always work for fair-skinned ladies, but Jessica Chastain couldn't have looked dreamier in the gold-flecked Gucci gown she chose for the Lawless premiere. Chastain smartly left her neckline bare to avoid an overabundance of sparkle (there is such a thing).

(Source: Bauer Griffin)
Not even a sudden, unexpected downpour could dampen Diane Kruger's shine at the premiere of Love on Sunday. The self-styled superstar displayed her tiny waist in a perfectly draped Vivienne Westwood creation, worn with a retro hairstyle, sparkling earrings and swanky platform sandals.

(Source: Bauer Griffin)
Italian multi-hyphenate Asia Argento was feeling the gothic vibe at the Dracula 3D premiere. The daughter of horror film great Dario Argento lived up to the family name in a corseted Givenchy Couture creation embroidered with crocodile scales and studs.

Year after year, diminutive actress Eva Longoria kicks up the glamour in a gown that probably weighs more than half what she does. This year, Longoria attended the premiere of Wes Anderson's new film Moonrise Kingdom in a frothy Marchesa creation with a decadent train. We're surprised she made it up the steps.

(Source: Getty Images)
Young Moonrise Kingdom star Kara Hayward defied convention in a tiered lemon Louis Vuitton gown and silver snakeskin sandals. KILL HER STYLIST! The thirteen-year-old paired the look with age-appropriate accessories: a glittering headband and a book-shaped clutch.

Elena Lenina is, as far as we can tell, a Russian model/author who appeared on a French reality television show in 2003. She's since kept her name in headlines by dressing like this. Somewhere, I Dream of Jeannie's Barbara Eden is shaking her fist in fury.

(Source: Getty Images)
Leave it to a supermodel to upstage all the film talent at Cannes. Eva Herzigova was goddess-like in a slim-fitting Dolce & Gabbana gown dripping with crystal beads. Her very serious diamond necklace likely came with its own security guard.

Tilda Swinton rarely strays from her favorite label Haider Ackermann, and with good reason: The brand perfectly captures her stark, architectural approach to beauty. Swinton stayed typically cosmetic-free, opting only for a dash of bright lip color.

The iconic Jane Fonda brought the glitz to the Moonrise Kingdom premiere in a jaw-dropping bronze sequined Atelier Versace gown. Fonda modified the dress to fit her style, adding a sheer yoke and sleeves. Dangling 18-karat rose gold earrings by Chopard added the final touch.

(Source: PacificCoastNews.com)
Marion Cotillard attended a photocall for her upcoming film Rust and Bone in a breezy, peachy Christian Dior frock with delicate buttons up the sides and a shiny gold belt. The longtime Dior spokemodel added a pop of fresh, summery color with lemon patent leather Versus pumps.

Chinese actress and singer Fan Bingbing isn't particularly well known in the States, save with lovers of couture. Fan wears it well and often—see how regal she looks in this Elie Saab Couture gown and matching cape, accessorized with Chopard jewels and a Ferragamo clutch.

Eva Longoria looked ready to slip right out of the streamlined Emilio Pucci gown she wore to the Rust and Bone premiere—perhaps because she's not used to wearing light pieces anymore. The former Desperate Housewives actress should consider paring back her look more often.

Melissa George almost looked like she was trying to slip under the radar at the Rust and Bone premiere in her Calvin Klein getup, despite its completely sheer front panel. Metallic sandals, a sparkly silver clutch and cat eye makeup weren't enough to boost the look to Cannes-level drama.

(Source: Getty Images)
Natasha Poly burned up the red carpet at the Madagascar 3 premiere in a plunging green Gucci frock, matching emerald earrings and strappy sandals. The seasoned model went full vamp with kohl-rimmed eyes and a slick low ponytail.

(Source: Getty Images)
Jada Pinkett Smith was at her most radiant in a jaw-dropping tangerine strapless gown by Atelier Versace that seemed to defy gravity. Someone's a fan of double-stick tape! She complemented the touch of gold in the bodice with a pair of metallic Jimmy Choo sandals.

(Source: Getty Images)
Naomi Watts should have no trouble channeling her inner royalty for her upcoming role as Princess Di. The Australian actress looked rather stately in an ecru feathered gown by Marchesa, worn with a couple of Chopard diamonds and a retro updo.

(Source: Bauer Griffin)
Freida Pinto got in on the crop top trend in Salvatore Ferragamo separates to announce her role in the upcoming film Desert Dancer. We can think of three different pop stars who are likely jealous they didn't wear this outfit first.

Nails: Talking Trends with Celebrity Nail Artist Madeline Poole

(Photos: Madeline Pool Nails)
Madeline Poole is the crystal ball of the nail art world—and the future looks empty (as in negative space, but more on that later). As the newest manicurist of Nailing Hollywood, a two-year-old Los Angeles-based agency with a serious celebrity clientele (think Miley Cyrus, Michelle Williams, Rosie Huntington-Whitley, and Lea Michele, among others), Madeline’s done everything from decoupaging dollar bills to inventing galaxies on nails in the name of beauty. She’s also perfected ombrĂ©, likely invented the outline trend, and won acclaim for painting graphic patterns with such precision she seems like she was born with a brush in her hand. Turns out that’s not too far from the truth.

(Photos: Madeline Pool Nails)

StyleBistro: What have you been doing a lot of lately? What are your latest styles? Madeline Poole: As far as nail trends, one of my classic things is doing the outlined nails—it’s always popular with people who come to me. And even though ombrĂ© nails have been in style for a while, they continue to be big. Lately I’m using pastel neons, vibrating colors, and a lot of neon green, which is all over the place right now. There’s sort of a sportswear trend in fashion, and electric colors go with that.

(Photos: Madeline Pool Nails)
Any trends you can forecast? Leaving negative space on the nail, any way that you can look at the nail and do something unexpected or strange, those seem to be the things that catch on, at least in the blog world.

Where do you find inspiration for your designs? I might see a jacket on someone and see a pattern in it that I like. And I’m always infiltrated by pop culture: I’ve done Scream mask nails, and the Misfits skull face.

You’re a trained artist? I guess so. I went to art school and studied painting and I worked at a poster restoration shop for a while, using a really tiny brush to restore lithographs. And I worked with my mom, who’s a muralist, my whole life.

(Photos: Madeline Pool Nails)
That’s how you learned to be meticulous? Amazing. It’s funny, right? That experience was really influential. I learned how to mix colors, how to apply color, how to use a really small brush in a way that was precise—because it’s not necessarily, if you don’t use it right. Also, recreating really small images is kind of what I was doing. I was always really good at copying stuff. When I was a kid, I could copy cartoons really well. Whenever I made paintings, they were always really small. And I made egg dioramas. So I’ve been doing small painting for a long time.

It is your calling! Who are your dream clients? They’re all really obvious: Lady Gaga, Beyonce, the list goes on. All people who have outrageous style and long nails that they take care of and are part of their look. Why do you think people have become so obsessed with nails? Maybe it’s because of blog culture. It’s now just an expected part of a look. If you’re going out, having your nails done is part of that. I’ve heard a lot of people say it’s this “semi-affordable luxury,” versus buying expensive clothes, but it’s not that cheap! I’m unsure why it wasn’t big already, because it’s a really expressive way of using cosmetics. You can really show your wacky side, or your classy side, or whatever. When you have your nails done, you feel complete.

Who Wore Ferragamo Better: Rosario Dawson or Jennifer Lopez?

(Getty Images and PacificCoastNews)
With the color blocking trend still holding strong, it's no wonder Jennifer Lopez opted to wear this exquisite Salvatore Ferragamo gown for one of the last episodes of American Idol's current season. The gown's bright fuchsia halter neckline looked gorgeous behind the judging table—and matched the ankle-breaking platform pumps that peeked out beneath the dress' turquoise skirt.

But Lopez was not the first celebrity to make an impact in this particular gown. At Vanity Fair's Oscar party in February, Rosario Dawson wore the very same piece, albeit styled quite differently. Dawson opted not to wear oversized earrings, allowing the halter neckline (tied at the nape of the neck, in her case) to stand alone beneath an imperial updo. Her footwear was considerably less daring, however: Black peep-toe pumps can only be so exciting.

Which of these ladies better wore Salvatore Ferragamo?

Look of the Day: Nicole Richie's Beaded "Mullet" Dress

Nicole Richie (Getty Images)
Nicole Richie's penchant for cool 'dos and sultry smoky eyes was on full display at the 40th Annual Fifi Awards on Monday. She created quite a stir when she paired her glamorous retro-inspired styling with this unique Emilio Pucci "mullet" dress from the spring 2012 collection.

The gown, embellished with beading and sequins, featured long sleeves, an empire waist and a lengthy train. However, the striking black number didn't overpower the her petite frame. The look was completed with classic black pumps and a simple box clutch from Nicole's own House of Harlow. The real show-stopping element, though, was Nicole's fabulous updo.

The style combined elements of a retro-inspired bouffant with an interesting textured twist and her signature lash-grazing bangs. Heavy gunmetal gray eyeshadow, lots of black liner and mascara and soft peachy-nude lipstick finished her sexy '60s vibe.

Get Fitted: How To Buy A Fitted Shirt [Men's Fashi...

I saw this article over on GQ, and HAD to share it with my readers after you guys enjoyed "The Only Eight Tees You Need" so much!!

Ever pull on a dress shirt that makes you look fifteen pounds heavier, the kind that balloons out the back and with sleeves cut for a pirate? Now a range of labels is offering fitted dress shirts that perfectly contour to your body. Taylor Lautner of 'Twilight' shows you how to instantly slim down while buttoning up

A firm semi-spread collar and refined pencil stripe make a bold statement, but not a fashion-centric one. Shirt, $145, by Boss Black. Pants, $365, by D&G. Watch by Raymond Weil.

Dig superslim ties? You're going to want a small collar, like this one, to match. Shirt, $375, by Gucci. Tie, $160, by Massimo Bizzocchi. Tie bar by Thom Browne New York.

If you want a dependable slim-cut shirt that won't cost you hundreds, head to H&M. The Swedish brand has promoted European-style fitted dress shirts ever since it arrived in the States. Shirt, $40, by H&M. Tie, $135, by Salvatore Ferragamo. Pants, $195, by Boss Black.

When in doubt, invest in a crisp white dress shirt. Wear it with a suit and tie, or roll up the sleeves and throw it on with your slim-fit jeans. You can never go wrong. Shirt, $395, by Dior Homme. Tie, $165, by Dolce & Gabbana. Jeans, $315, by Prada. Tie bar by Thom Browne New York.

Just because you prefer a modern-fit shirt doesn't mean you can't evoke old-world elegance. Check out the French cuffs, the British-style spread collar, and the resplendent blue stripes. Shirt, $325, by Ralph Lauren Black Label. Tie, $125, by Conference of Birds. Pants, $195, by Boss Black. Cuff links by Dolan Bullock. Watch by Raymond Weil.

Not all brands call their slim-fit shirts by the same name. Dolce & Gabbana offers three fits—Luxury, Martini, and its slimmest cut, Gold, seen here. In this case, it's a dress shirt more suited for the evening than the office. Shirt, $325, and pants, $540, by Dolce & Gabbana. Belt by J.Crew. Watch by Raymond Weil.
