What’s the name of the clothing line??

Roman Kidds... And a lot of people always ask me about where i got the idea for the name. So while i wish i had this great creative story that everyone one expects to hear, lol the truth is.. im from Rome, GA .. and my last name is Kidd. lol, so there you have it Roman Kidds.

Who are the main people in this “Group” or are you Solo??

It's just me. I have a partner on the tech side of things, that helps me with all the digital stuff like my website design & helping me clean up designs. But as far as RK and its products go.. its just me.

What or Who was your inspiration to start a clothing line??

I guess most designers would probably start with this list of high fashion designers.. and talk about how they inspired them, and a bunch of other shit to sound cool.. well I'd probably have to say Music but the initial inspiration was probably being broke as hell. I kinda laugh now, but it wasn't funny then. Coming up I got tired of wearing the same jeans to school, but couldn’t afford new ones. So I just started drawing on them.. to make them look different. And so there went the birth of what I didn’t know then was Roman Kidds.

That must have been an interesting feeling??

Interesting? Well yea I guess so. It made me feel pretty good, since it just started as a thing I did because I was broke. Then all of a sudden the people that have the money to buy the new clothes & the dope name brands were looking at me like WOW, WHERE DID YOU GET THAT!?

What kind of pieces center around the line??

I have a Street Wear brand. So colorful, bold & playful pieces are what I’m all about. But while other brands focus on keeping up with trends, I focus on being innovative.

Who do you collaborate with to come up with design ideas??

Like I said before, its just me. Even though I WISH I could work with other brands, to me.. MOST of them are boring. All of them look the same, so I feel like really.. what could they offer me as far as creativity goes?? But the brands that I would love to work with are too big.. and out of my reach for the moment. Most people don’t understand my ideas anyway and that’s where my puzzle piece logo comes into play. It represents my ideas, the way I think.. and until I actually put the design in front of your face the idea of what I’m doing is just a piece off the puzzle. Something small compared to the big picture.

Is there a target audience??

16-29 year young adults, because the future in everything we doing in Fashion is in the hands of the youth. They are the ones that say we are “COOL”.

Where do you see this line within the next 3 years??

Very successful.. and in high demand. Everyday the brand is making progress, and gaining popularity. Mainly my “Stary Eyed Jezus P.” necklaces! People are going crazy over those. So everything is looking great.. especially since great fashion minded people such as you guys at The Kidz Jump are taking notice.

Do you have a website??

We are looking to drop the site in March.. hopefully sooner. I’m excited about the progress. But we are having to speed up the progress because of advertising and marketing offers from other companies. No complaints though, but in the meantime you can find me and my product on facebook & twitter.

Are you planning or in any Fashion Shows?? Or maybe just a showcase??

Yep, sure am! I’m actually hoping to showcase at Albany State University's Phresh Lyfe Modeling Troupe's show in April. So stay tuned.
