Few designers have the same pervasive influence as Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Ever since their star-filled Fall 2011 runway, Hollywood has become flooded with the galactic trend.
The versatile style has been picked up by a variety of Hollywood A-listers. Mother-to-be, Jessica Alba, opted to wear a flowing maxi-dress from the collection for the Spy Kids premiere. Meanwhile Evan Rachel Wood and her new androgynous 'do gave the trend an edge with a pair of star-studded skinny pants and a leather motorcycle jacket.
Olivia Wilde was the first to don a velvet number from the collection. The brunette bombshell attended the Change-up after-party in a glitzy long-sleeved number from the same collection. Rosario Dawson and Pixie Geldof took a whimsical approach to the style with airy chiffon pieces—Rosario in a shorter cocktail dress with butterfly sleeves, Pixie in a strapless floor-sweeping design.
We definitely don't see this trend going away anytime soon. Will you be wearing star print this season?
